Job Context:

SIMEC System Limited is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions through rigorous testing and process improvement. The QA Engineer will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects, improve product quality, and ensure that projects are delivered on time with minimal issues.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop Test Plans & Cases: Design and develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software functionality, performance, and scalability meet requirements.

• Perform Manual & Automated Testing: Execute manual and automated tests to ensure the highest level of quality for software applications, including functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

• Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and other QA team members to ensure seamless integration and product functionality.

• Implement Testing Best Practices: Recommend and implement quality assurance processes and best practices, including continuous improvement of testing procedures, methodologies, and automation.

• Maintain Test Environments: Set up and maintain testing environments, ensuring they replicate production conditions to uncover real-world issues early in the development process.

• Review & Analyze Requirements: Participate in requirement review meetings, provide feedback on testability, and ensure clarity of functionality for proper test coverage.

• Prepare Documentation: Produce clear and concise testing documentation, including test results, defect reports, and testing summaries for review by stakeholders.

• Monitor & Improve Software Quality: Continuously monitor software performance, functionality, and usability, providing suggestions for product and process improvements.
