Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities:

1.     Install, configure, and commission Ultrasound, Pathology, and X-Ray equipment at customer sites.

2.     Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of medical diagnostic equipment.

3.     Troubleshoot hardware, software, electrical, and mechanical issues of diagnostic machines.

4.     Ensure quick response and timely service support to minimize equipment downtime.

5.     Conduct routine inspection, calibration, and performance testing of equipment.

6.     Provide technical support and user training to doctors, technicians, and hospital staff.

7.     Maintain proper service reports, maintenance records, and installation documentation.

8.     Coordinate with the technical support team and manufacturers for complex troubleshooting.

9.     Manage spare parts inventory and recommend necessary parts replacement.

10. Ensure all service activities comply with company standards and safety regulations.

11. Support equipment demonstrations, customer visits, and technical presentations when required.

12. Attend emergency service calls and provide on-site support across assigned territories.

13. Maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and service quality.

14. Assist sales and application teams with technical information and after-sales support.

15. Keep updated knowledge regarding new medical technologies, diagnostic systems, and service procedures.

Additional Responsibilities by Department

For Ultrasound Service Engineer

  • Handle probe testing, image quality checking, and system software updates.

  • Diagnose issues related to transducers, monitors, printers, and imaging systems.

For Pathology Service Engineer

  • Service hematology, biochemistry, immunology, and other laboratory diagnostic analyzers.

  • Perform calibration, QC support, reagent setup, and analyzer troubleshooting.

    For X-Ray Service Engineer

  • Maintain X-Ray generators, DR/CR systems, detectors, and imaging consoles.

  • Ensure radiation safety compliance and equipment performance standards.

    Required Skills

    • Strong knowledge of electronics and biomedical equipment.

    • Ability to read circuit diagrams and technical manuals.

    • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

    • Willingness to travel for field service support.

    • Basic computer and networking knowledge preferred.
