Responsibilities & Context:

Technical Service & Repair:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in appliances such as ACs, refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, and other home appliances.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing as per manufacturer guidelines.
  • Replace defective parts using proper tools and techniques.

On-Site Visits:

  • Visit customer homes or service locations to perform installation, servicing, or troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all safety and operational protocols are followed during field visits.

Installation & Commissioning:

  • Install new appliances at customer locations.
  • Test equipment after installation to ensure proper functionality.

Customer Interaction:

  • Communicate clearly with customers to understand issues and explain the work done.
  • Provide usage and maintenance tips to customers to improve appliance longevity.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve them effectively

Quality Control & Testing:

  • Conduct post-repair testing to confirm successful repair and safety compliance.
  • Ensure repairs are in line with brand/service standards.

Spare Parts Management:

  • Manage and track spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure correct parts are used and report shortages or ordering needs.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain service records, job sheets, and customer feedback forms.
  • Report major faults or recurring issues to senior technicians or supervisors.

Coordination & Follow-Up:

  • Coordinate with service centers, vendors, and logistics for parts and technical support.
  • Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction.

Training & Skill Upgradation:

  • Stay updated on the latest technology and service techniques for modern appliances.
  • Attend workshops or manufacturer training programs as required.
