Experience:

• 4 to 5 years

• Bachelor/Honors

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, EEE, or Telecommunication Engineering from any reputed university.
• Vendor certifications such as MTCNA/MTCRE/CCNA/HCIA will be considered an added advantage.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant NOC or ISP network engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of routing & switching (MikroTik, Cisco, Juniper, Huawei).
• Experience with fiber connectivity, PON/GPON, and core network infrastructure.
• Sound understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network monitoring tools (Nagios, PRTG, The Dude, etc.).
• Ability to lead field teams and coordinate with different operational units.
• Must be able to work under pressure and handle real-time network issues calmly and effectively.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to provide remote technical support beyond office hours when required.
• Must be self-motivated, responsible, and have a problem-solving attitude.

Job Context

Chittagong Data Communication (CDC) is a Nationwide Internet Service Provider (ISP) licensed by BTRC. We are looking for a proactive and skilled Senior Network Engineer (NOC & Infrastructure) who will take ownership of network operations, ensure uninterrupted connectivity, and manage fiber and core infrastructure efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and maintain CDC’s local and nationwide network and infrastructure.
• Prepare and optimize fiber layout plans, ensuring logical and physical connectivity accuracy.
• Identify and implement network redundancy and backup routes to ensure 24/7 uptime.
• Onboard new clients, assign connectivity, and assist with configuration as needed.
• Troubleshoot client issues efficiently — both remotely and physically when required.
• Monitor all network nodes, links, and devices via NMS/Nagios/PRTG or equivalent systems.
• Work closely with the NOC team to maintain smooth network performance and documentation.
• Ensure proper escalation and incident reporting to management for any major outages.
• Maintain accurate logs of fiber routes, IP assignments, and device configurations.
• Lead field engineers or subcontractors to execute fiber maintenance or expansion tasks.
• Provide remote support outside office hours in case of emergency or critical downtime.
• Take full ownership of assigned responsibilities and proactively identify potential issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of network data, credentials, and system access.
• Engaging in outside remote jobs for other companies during CDC office hours is strictly prohibited.

Evaluation & Employment Confirmation Process

• The selected candidate will initially join under a 1-month performance observation period to assess practical skills, adaptability, and team coordination.
• Upon satisfactory performance, the employee will continue under a 3-month extended probation period for further evaluation.
• After successful completion of both stages, the position will be made permanent with full employment benefits.
