Responsibilities & Context:
Responsible for:
Conducting OPD and IPD gynecological patient screening, assessment, and management
Performing detailed gynecological examinations, counseling, and follow-up care
Performing and interpreting gynecological and obstetric ultrasonography (USG) as per competency
Managing common and emergency gynecological and obstetric conditions
Leading the medical team during gynecological emergencies when required
Liaising and coordinating with other doctors, anesthetists, nurses, midwives and support staff
Ensuring effective communication and collaboration with outreach components (satellite clinics, medical assistants, nurses, midwives)
Maintaining proper medical records, investigation reports and documentation
Ensuring infection prevention and control (IPC) practices in all procedures
Supporting training, mentoring and capacity building of junior doctors and nursing staff
Participating in referral, counter-referral and follow-up mechanisms
Ensuring patient safety, dignity and informed consent at all times
Activities:
Obstetrics and gynecological out-patient examination, management and treatment including ANC and PNC.
Performing surgical procedures (NVD, Caesarean Section and D&C)
Perform neonatal and child care
Providing general pre- and post-operative care
Establish a regular family planning, cervical cancer screening, and breast-feeding care
Responsible for management of eclampsia/sever pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, severe anemia, sepsis, post abortion complication etc.
Active participation in planning of any heath program in FHS.
Providing training on clinical Management and ensuring quality services of medical staffs at FHS.
Documentation and reporting.
Carryout duties & professional responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time & at the discretion of the Head of Friendship Hospital Shyamnagar (FHS).
Skill and Competencies:
Educational Qualification:
MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Gynecology & Obstetrics
Valid BMDC registration
Experience in laparoscopic surgery assistance and USG preferred
Experience in hospital or NGO health programs will be an advantage
