• Clinical Expertise: Outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.

1. Clinical Duties & Patient Care:

• Triage, assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of medical, surgical, pediatric, and traumatic emergencies presenting to the ED.

• Provide immediate resuscitation and stabilization for critically ill patients (e.g., cardiac arrest, major trauma, sepsis).

• Perform a variety of emergency procedures independently, including but not limited to:

  • Interpretation of ECGs and X-rays.

  • Advanced Airway Management (ET tube insertion)

  • CPR (Basic Life Support)

  • Management of common cut injuries, RTA etc.

  • Management of common fractures, shoulder dislocation etc.

  • Use of Crash cart medicines

  • Foley’s catheterization

• Make decisive decisions regarding patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and legible documentation in patient electronic medical records.

2. Supervisory & Leadership Duties:

• Provide direct clinical supervision, support, and guidance to Junior Medical Officers, Medical Officers, and house staff.

• Act as the senior in-charge clinician for the ED during assigned shifts, coordinating team activities and resource allocation.

• Conduct informal and formal teaching sessions for junior staff and medical students.

• Assist in the orientation and onboarding of new departmental staff.

3. On-Call & Shift Work

• This position requires a full commitment to a shift-based rota, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Shift patterns are designed to ensure 24/7 senior coverage of the department.
