A recognized postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (e.g., MRCEM,MRCP, FRCA, FCCP, or equivalent) will be highly appreciable .
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Critical Care Medicine department in corporate a hospital.
Proven, independent competency in advanced ICU procedures (airway management, central lines, ventilator management).

Responsibilities & Context: 1. Clinical Care & Patient Management:
- Provide 24/7 in-house cover for the Critical Care Unit as part of a shift-based roaster.
- Perform comprehensive assessment, resuscitation, and ongoing management of critically ill patients with multi-organ failure (e.g., severe sepsis, ARDS, traumatic brain injury, post-cardiac arrest).
- Formulate, implement, and review daily management plans in consultation with the ICU Consultants.
- Perform and supervise a wide range of critical care procedures, including:
- Endotracheal Intubation and Advanced Airway Management
- Central Venous and Arterial Line Insertion
- Management of Mechanical Ventilation (invasive and non-invasive)
- Chest Tube Insertion
- Percutaneous Tracheostomy (as first assistant or independently, depending on credentialing)
- Cardioversion and Transvenous Pacing
- Interpret complex data from ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and diagnostic tests (ABGs, CXRs, CT scans).
2. Supervisory & Leadership Duties:
- Lead daily ward rounds with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in the presence of the Consultant and ensure all plans are clearly communicated and executed.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated, high-quality patient care.
3. Administrative & Operational Duties:
- Ensure accurate, timely, and legible documentation in patient medical records, including procedure notes.
- Facilitate and manage patient admissions to and discharges from the Critical Care Unit.
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Uphold strict adherence to ICU protocols, infection control policies, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of ICU policies and clinical pathways.
4. On-Call & Shift Work
- This position requires full participation in a full-shift roster to provide 24/7 cover for the Critical Care Unit.
