Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Textile Engineering/ Bachelor in Apparels merchandising. Masters in related discipline from any reputed University with 1st Class / 1st Class equivalent CGPA.

∎ 10 to 12 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Product Development: Lead the product development process for woven garments, working closely with the design team to ensure that the product meets customer and market requirements.
∎ Sourcing and Vendor Management: Identify and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers. Negotiate contracts and terms, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
∎ Merchandise Planning: Create and manage merchandise plans, considering seasonal trends, sales targets, and budget constraints. Ensure optimal stock levels and inventory management.
∎ Quality Control: Establish and maintain quality control standards for woven garments, working with relevant teams to ensure the products meet quality expectations.
∎ Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and maintain awareness of market pricing to ensure competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
∎ Trend and Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and customer preferences to inform product development and merchandising strategies.
∎ Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of merchandisers and other supporting staff, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
∎ Production Coordination: Oversee production schedules, monitor progress, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during manufacturing.
∎ Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all products meet regulatory and compliance requirements in terms of safety, labeling, and environmental standards.
∎ Reporting: Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales, stock levels, and profitability, and present findings to senior management.
∎ Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for the merchandising department, ensuring financial goals are met.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 38 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Proven experience in merchandising, preferably in woven garments, with at least 10 - 12 years of relevant work experience.
∎ Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
∎ Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
∎ Leadership and team management experience.
∎ Proficiency in using relevant software tools and applications for merchandise planning, data analysis, and project management.
∎ An understanding of market trends and the ability to adapt strategies accordingly.
∎ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
∎ Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in the apparel industry.
