Job Context:
∎ iDE Bangladesh is looking for a qualified Senior Manager-Enterprise Development for the anticipated Enterprise Development Project.
∎ The Senior Manager-Enterprise Development is responsible to implement the project interventions and field operations of the project with the support of Operations and Programs teams and various support teams such as Govt. liaison, Finance, HR & Admin, and iQ. Lead the field team, guide partners and assist to develop project DIP, budget and project implementation strategy, develop technical papers and tools for smooth field implementation, project progress monitoring and proposed changes that is required for quality field implementation. Ensure quality engagement of human resource as project`s requirement; facilitate staff capacity building process on MDA, initiate project startup and smooth closing initiatives. Guide field team for quality project implementation, play a leadership role in project management and review the performance of project staff. Take part and directly engage in risk management, leading and managing project including communication with donor organizations, other associates partners, Govt. line agencies and lead private sectors.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The responsibilities of the Senior Manager-Enterprise Development include but are not limited to the descriptions below.
∎ Overall responsibility for the management, administration and successful implementation of the project in order to achieve the project targets and take the program to the next level in terms of scale and impact;
∎ Play a leading role in the delivery of project outcomes and expected results accordance to project strategy which provides a framework for rural economy and service market development;
∎ Play an active role and coordinate with relevant technical units in planning and programmatic guidance for the project staff, partners and other stakeholders according to project guidelines and donor requirements;
∎ Communicate strategic direction and support and maintain liaison with field team, partners and private sectors, donors in operating project interventions as per plan and adopt relevant changes considering local situations and clients demands ;
∎ Prepare progress report and other reports on a regular basis, document the key learning & findings and prepare project annual report, closing report etc.
∎ Monitor progress of field teams and provide regular updates to the senior management team and lead stakeholders to deliver high quality and measurable outcomes;
∎ Ensure the management and delivery of adaptive research activities and dissemination of appropriate technologies and process to the clients through Government- NGO-Private sector partnerships;
∎ Maintain budgetary control of expenditure, manage donor funds and prepare financial reports in line with donor requirements and iDE regulations;
∎ Plan and oversee the annual work-plan preparation, identify external technical support needs, ensuring that appropriate management practices are being used in project implementation and the monitoring and evaluation systems are being used to provide timely management information;
∎ Establish functional relationship among technical assistance team, technical project team, and support unit and field implementation team. Ensure regular communication among different teams and partners, government agencies, media, Donor's representatives; Villages development organizations, public-private sector actors and other clients;
∎ Represent iDE-B at the national & regional network platform to facilitate and encourage the dissemination of learning from project; and,
∎ Line manager of relevant staff as required and appropriate and be a member of senior management team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Work Experience:
∎ Minimum 8-10 years of management experience in development programs
∎ Key Competencies:
∎ Familiarity with donor procedures and policies is strongly preferred;
∎ Considerable understanding of rural markets, trading relationships, and rural service provision. Knowledge on the roles of the private sector, government and civil society/NGOs in creating an effective service market;
∎ Experience of value chain approaches to market development and sub-sector analysis;
∎ Demonstrable high-level performance management and leadership skills, with substantial experience of developing and managing project teams.
∎ Good knowledge in strategic planning, programme budgeting and financial management, communication and reporting.
∎ Personal Qualities:
∎ Self-motivated, energetic and team player;
∎ Prepared to undertake frequent field visits and extensive travel;
∎ Strong team-building, representational and diplomatic skills;
∎ Demonstrated strong management skills and experience in supervising multi-disciplinary teams
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English;
∎ Proven interpersonal and intercultural skill, including flexibility and sensitivity;
∎ Exceptional transformative leadership skills, building the leadership of others; and,
∎ Sound knowledge of local government, good governance, human rights, women empowerment.
∎ Other Information and Conditions:
∎ The position would be the regular employment under iDE.
∎ The remuneration package, work days and deliverables might be change based on negotiation among iDE management and the contract.
∎ iDE reserve rights to terminate this agreement any time with the consultation of the employee as per HR policy.
