• 8–12 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 5 years focused on live poultry/livestock sourcing.

• Proven expertise in chicken, beef, and mutton procurement at scale.

• Knowledge of meat quality standards, farm practices, and seasonal livestock cycles.

• Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier relationship management skills.

• Experience in retail/superstore or large-scale restaurant procurement will be a strong advantage.

• Preferred Background

• Prior experience in meat processing plants, poultry/livestock procurement, or large retail/superstore chains.

• Familiarity with Bangladesh livestock market dynamics and sourcing from multiple regions.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented professional to lead procurement activities for our restaurant chain business. The core responsibility of this position is to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of live chicken, goat, and ox for meat processing, as well as sourcing other essential raw materials, supplies, and equipment related to restaurant operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in livestock procurement, direct sourcing from contract farmers, and vendor management. Candidates with experience in supermarket/retail procurement will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure live chicken, goat, and ox for meat processing in required volumes.
• Procure different types of sea fish to support Thai and Chinese menu items.
• Build and manage strong relationships with contract farmers, poultry farms, cattle traders, wholesale livestock markets and fish suppliers.
• Ensure livestock meets company standards for weight, health, and quality before purchase.
• Negotiate best prices and terms while ensuring timely delivery to processing facilities.
• Conduct regular visits to farms, markets, and suppliers for inspection and relationship management.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in the procurement process.
• Manage sourcing of additional restaurant-related items including dry goods, packaging, kitchen equipment, and consumables.
• Continuously identify new suppliers, markets, and sourcing opportunities.
• Develop a supplier network of farmers, traders, fish suppliers, and wholesalers to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Forecast demand in coordination with the Operations and Production teams to avoid shortages.
• Evaluate and approve new suppliers to maintain quality and cost efficiency
• Prepare and manage procurement budgets, cost analysis, and reports.
• Ensure ethical procurement practices and maintain transparency in all transactions.
• Lead and develop the procurement team, ensuring efficiency and accountability.
