Job Context:
∎ Under the guidance and supervision of Sr. Finance manager, this post is responsible for day-to-day financial transaction, review of payment, supporting documents data processing, Salary review, payment request review, attend procurement committee meeting, BID analysis while keeping in line with IRC policies and procedures. The Sr. Finance officer will support immediate supervisor manage and maintain country office accounting database. This position also requires close working relationship with Programs, Admin, Human Resources and Supply Chain units.
∎ Job Location: Cox`s Bazar Office
∎ Contract Length: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for leading the payments process for both Bank transactions. Ensure completeness of payment documents in compliance to IRC, NGO AB procedures and Donor policies and procedure;
∎ Prepare and maintain bank books ensuring completeness and accuracy of data entry. Ensure that coding is accurate and appropriately approved by authorized personnel.
∎ Ensure the day-to-day transaction are recorded correctly in Bank book before posting in SUN Software.
∎ Validation of cash and bank spreadsheet before it is uploaded in SUN.
∎ Carry out and document cash count as per the IRC policy and procedures.
∎ Carry out Bank reconciliation as month basis, Tax & Vat reconciliation and ensure deposit challan to local authority.
∎ Review PRs for proper coding and budget adequacy before approval.
∎ Review and account for procurement transactions to ensure adequate supporting documentation, accuracy of amounts and control over payments within limits.
∎ Participate and review the monthly/Annual inventory physical checks.
∎ Prepare cash projection for monthly basis and request for fund from Dhaka office
∎ Reconciliation of all advances in field office.
∎ Support to Finance Manager to prepare month end pack to submit regional center in timely manger
∎ Regular support to UKHIYA office and Dhaka office for month end purpose and other work.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of working experience with INGOs for leading large volume treasury management, audit facilitation, month end process, Balance Sheet preparation and handling audit quarries.
