Responsibilities & Context:

• Study global fashion trends, seasonal colors, fabrics, and consumer preferences to create marketable collections.

• Create mood boards, hand sketches, and digital designs using computer-aided design tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CLO 3D.

• Choose appropriate fabrics, trims, textures, and raw materials that match the design concept and target price point.

• Develop detailed specifications, measurements, and construction guidelines for factory production.

• Work closely with patternmakers and sample rooms to build and review initial garment prototypes.

• Coordinate with merchandising, marketing, and production teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufactured on schedule.

• Present final samples and collections to company management, buying houses, or retail clients.

• Create original design concepts, mood boards, color palettes, and themes.

• Prepare detailed sketches (hand/digital) and tech packs.

• Conduct market research on global fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and silhouettes.

• Present trend forecasts and design direction to management.

• Ensure cost-effective material selection without compromising quality.

• Ensure timely sample development and quality standards.

• Review samples and provide technical corrections.

• Collaborate with pattern makers and production teams.

• Ensure design feasibility for bulk production.

• Foster creativity and innovation within the team.

• Maintain proper documentation and design archives.
