Responsibilities & Context:

• Develop seasonal footwear ranges aligned with brand direction, customer demand, market trends, sales data, and target costs.

• Utilize Shoemaster to develop accurate lasts, patterns, grading, and technical files while minimizing sample rounds and pattern corrections.

• Ensure designs meet target costs and complete all development activities within the agreed design calendar, from initial concept and sketch to bulk approval.

• Support team capability development by improving Shoemaster workflows, pattern libraries, file management, and technical knowledge.

• Coordinate with Brand/PM, Sourcing, R&D, and Factory teams to ensure designs are production-feasible, accurately costed, and delivered on schedule.

• Introduce innovative design concepts, materials, colors, constructions, and technologies to enhance product competitiveness and differentiation.

• Monitor footwear trends, competitor products, consumer preferences, and market developments to support future collection planning and product development.

• Review samples and identify design, fit, construction, or technical issues, providing timely corrections to achieve first-time-right development.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date design files, patterns, specifications, grading, and other technical documents in accordance with company standards.

• Work closely with factory teams throughout development and production to resolve design-related technical issues and ensure consistent product quality and design execution.
