∎ We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant in our Financial Statutory Accounting Services (FSAS) team to be located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Proactively prepare and support company level reporting, according to corporate manual, accounting manual, local legislation, directives, etc.
∎ Prepare and consolidate accountings and period end closing activities on company level in SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
∎ Perform internal control and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting of the company.
∎ Support and participate in Corporate Shared Service Centre activities, e.g. account payables, payments, travel and vender master data etc.
∎ Give advice and support on Corporate Tax, VAT and other indirect tax on local and international transactions, business project and business developments.
∎ Monitor tax compliances for Income Tax, perform tax related calculations, postings, payments, reclaims & pursue tax litigations, if any.
∎ Resolving G/L & tax related discrepancies and resolving accounting related challenges
∎ Assisting & training others with G/L & tax postings
∎ Closely coordinating with Business control on tax/regulatory aspects.
∎ Liaison with internal and external auditors, banker and government VAT/Tax office/agencies.
∎ Ensure timely internal and external audits in compliance with the relevant corporate guidelines and Company Act and confirm reports are made available to the internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Actively participate in cost optimization measures and providing related information depending as per requirements.
∎ Actively participate in Digital initiatives.
∎ Maintain General Ledger accounts in SAP.
∎ Fixed Assets related co-ordination and monitoring.
∎ Company liquidity monitoring and planning (short and long term).
∎ Engage in ad-hoc special projects and provide recommendations on overall improvements in the general ledger system by researching and assessing standardized work flow procedures and policies.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience:
∎ Several years of relevant working experience with proficiency in using SAP FI and CO module.
∎ Work experience in shared service centre or other global accounting services is seen as an advantage.
∎ Other skills:
∎ Good understanding of financial accounting, taxation, reporting, auditing and period closing tasks.
∎ Good understanding of IFRS, VAT, Tax and Corporate Income Tax processes.
∎ Good knowledge about VAT Act 1991 and 2012
∎ Interest in developing and automating financial processes.
∎ Pro-active, self-driven, fast learner and good team-worker.
∎ Customer service skills.
∎ Ability to work in teams of diverse people and cultures an efficient at dealing with complexity.
∎ Fluency in English.
∎ Advanced IT skills (e.g. Office tools).
