Responsibilities & Context:
Industry: 100% Export-Oriented RMG Factory.
Priority Profile: Ex-Army JCO (Subedar / Nayek Subedar).
Key Job Responsibilities :
Overall Security Management :
Ensure round-the-clock security of factory premises, including production floors, warehouse, bonded area, finished goods, stores, and office buildings.
Develop, implement, and strictly enforce security SOPs as per buyer, BGMEA, and factory policies.
Maintain strict discipline, order, and vigilance among all security personnel.
Manpower Control & Supervision:
Lead, train, and supervise security guards, gatekeepers, and night shift personnel.
Prepare and manage duty rosters, shift rotations, and leave schedules.
Ensure guards are properly briefed, well-turned-out, and alert at all times.
Conduct regular roll calls, surprise checks, and performance evaluations.
Access Control & Gate Management
Control entry and exit of:
Workers & staff
Visitors, buyers, auditors, and vendors
Vehicles (goods, containers, private & commercial)
Ensure ID card checking, visitor pass issuance, and gate register maintenance.
Prevent unauthorized entry, pilferage, theft, and misuse of factory property.
Export & Bonded Warehouse Security:
Ensure secure handling of raw materials, accessories, and finished garments.
Monitor loading/unloading of export cargo, containers, and bonded movements.
Coordinate with Commercial, Warehouse, and Logistics teams during shipment.
Prevent loss, mix-up, or tampering of export goods.
Fire, Safety & Emergency Response:
Act as a key member of the Fire & Safety Committee.
Ensure compliance with fire safety rules, evacuation plans, and emergency drills.
Lead response during:
Fire incidents
Labor unrest
Accidents or natural disasters
Conduct mock drills and emergency preparedness training.
Compliance & Buyer Requirements:
Ensure security standards meet international buyer compliance (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, Accord/Alliance where applicable).
Assist during buyer, third-party, and government audits related to security.
Maintain all security-related documents, registers, and incident reports.
Liaison & Coordination:
Maintain strong liaison with:
Local Police Station
Fire Service
Industrial Area Authorities
BGMEA (if required)
Handle law-and-order issues professionally and lawfully.
Report critical incidents immediately to Factory Management.
Incident Reporting & Investigation:
Investigate and report:
Theft, pilferage, misconduct
Security breaches
Accidents or unusual activities
Submit daily, weekly, and incident reports to management.
Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Discipline & Worker Safety:
Ensure a safe, respectful, and non-violent security environment.
Handle worker-related security issues with patience, firmness, and fairness.
Prevent harassment, abuse, or misuse of authority by security staff.
Asset Protection & Surveillance:
Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, lighting, and perimeter fencing.
Ensure security equipment is operational and well-maintained.
Prevent damage or loss of factory assets and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
Retired Army JCO (Subedar / Nayek Subedar) or equivalent disciplined service.
Experience in industrial / RMG / large workforce security preferred.
Strong leadership, command presence, and crisis-handling ability.
Basic computer knowledge for reports and CCTV monitoring.
Honest, loyal, physically fit, and mentally alert.
