Job Responsibilities:
∎ Sector Coordination & specialist - Protection will be responsible for the rapid and effective design, development and management of DFID/UNOPS Protection related humanitarian response to meet the immediate needs of the affected population, both Rohingya refugees and Host Communities. Provide Protection support needed by the consortium members and ensure that protection principles are applied according to Sphere and Protection Working Groups Standards. Best practices and learning are cross-shared and informed protection targeted stand alone and cross cutting activities. Deployed 100% of the time to support an existing project's Protection activities of the partner organisations and Protection coordinator will report to Consortium manager.
∎ Responsibilities:
∎ Capacity Building:
∎ Support the development of capacity building plans for partners on protection issues related to GBV and other general protection
∎ Act as a master trainer for partners, in line with capacity building plans
∎ Provide regular coaching on and programme management skills to the field personnel of the partner organisations for protection integration in implementation of activities includes WASH, HEALTH, Nutrition
∎ Needs Analysis and Program Design:
∎ Support in design assessments, baselines and evaluations, particularly in regards to communicating community needs on protection
∎ Foster an understanding of the context - political, cultural etc. and community expectations, within the consortium partner
∎ Contribute to the development of contextually appropriate programme design
∎ Contribute to project level contingency plans and support the integration of contingency planning for women, adolescent girl and children protection in all project activity planning
∎ Coordination role:
∎ Responsible to lead the activities for establishing and maintaining liaison with different government, cluster, private and community level stakeholders.
∎ Developing training modules & Monitoring guidelines for humanitarian standard for protection delivery adopting ISCG/cluster guideline
∎ Information sharing role:
∎ Provide regular updates and technical guidance to team on progress, priorities and challenges - verbally and in writing.
∎ Represent Christian Aid to external stakeholders as needed and agreed with supervisor, such as Government bodies, donors and the cluster
∎ Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking forward to a candidate with:
∎ Relevant university degree; excellent knowledge and skills in Protection, Gender and Inclusion programming, child rights, child protection, child/youth/community resilience, psychosocial support, community/youth development and mobilisation, especially in an emergency context; proven Experience working with at-risk families; proven experience as a trainer and in developing structured and comprehensive curricula and training manuals; proven ability of leading, coordinating and managing primary and reproductive health team in emergency response; demonstrated ability to identify, recommend and adopt new or changes in humanitarian standards and best practice approaches to ensure rapid, consistent, high quality emergency response, strategies and programmes; demonstrated ability to work effectively with international institutions and agencies, local governments and community leaders and develop multi-stakeholder support for humanitarian priorities and advocacy initiatives; excellent IT (Word, Outlook, Excel), analytical and problem solving and communication skills including written and oral English; excellent organisational, management and coordination skills; ability to manage a varied workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines; be able to be to start work within 15 days; illustrated commitment to, and a good understanding of, the CHS, HAP, IASC guidelines, and Sphere standard values and ability to bring these alive in your work.
