∎ The RFL Field Officer will be working under the direct supervision and guidance of the RFL Delegate in Cox`s Bazar to implement the Restoring Family Links (RFL) programme which seeks to reestablish contact between family members who have been separated due to conflict, migration, natural disasters or for other humanitarian reasons. The programme is implemented with and in support to the Bangladeshi Red Crescent Society (BDRCS)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Performs internal and external follow up of individual cases under the supervision of the RFL Delegate and in coordination with the BDRCS, in particular supporting the latter with unaccompanied minors and other vulnerable cases
∎ Acts as a Focal Point for the liaison with other humanitarian organisations and authorities for RFL matters, in particular for the referral of cases. Participates in sectorial meetings
∎ Translates/interprets upon request, contributes to reporting and statistical data. Contributes to the analysis of the environment in relation to ICRC activities and shares updates with the relevant department
∎ Plans, participate and reports on field trips, in coordination with the BDRCS
∎ Contributes to the analysis of migration trends and RFL needs in Bangladesh
∎ Reports on internal and external meetings
∎ Acts as Focal Point for dissemination: planning and realization of strategies and tools to improve awareness of the RFL program
∎ plans, develops and follows-up proposals for RFL tools and activities, if required
∎ Support and train BDRCS RFL volunteers in the field and at the Unit
∎ Any activities required as required

Additional Requirements:
∎ Good command of English (written and spoken) & fluent level of local language (Bengali & Chittagonian)
∎ 2 to 5 years of work experience in a similar field or in a humanitarian organization
∎ Good computer skills: knowledge in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
∎ Proven capacity to establish, maintain and extend a network of varied interlocutors at different levels
∎ Sound analytical and communication skills
∎ Personal qualities for the position:

∎ Very good communication and inter-personal skills: ability to deal with people respectfully and showing empathy towards others (colleagues, beneficiaries, authorities)
∎ Ability to work independently, and capacity to take initiatives when appropriate and work in a team.
∎ Leadership skills with ability to manage and supervise tasks with effectiveness as per the set priorities
∎ Able to work under pressure; flexible and open to extra working hours if necessary
∎ Capacity to carry out activities and manage files of importance in the field of RFL activities
∎ Ability to keep discretion and handling confidential matters effectively
∎ Sound capacity to strictly apply ICRC rules and procedures
∎ Punctual, reliable, confirmed organizational skills (coordination, sharing of information, etc)
