Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review sales for previous day; resolve discrepancies with Finance Department. Track revenue against budget.
∎ Meet with the Chef to review daily specials; update board throughout shift. Ensure that associates are aware of such.
∎ Prepare weekly work schedules in accordance with staffing guidelines and labor forecasts. Adjust schedules throughout the week to meet the business demands.
∎ Ensure that associates report to work as scheduled.
∎ Assign work and side duties to associates in accordance with departmental procedures. Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift. Identify situations which compromise department standards and take/delegate efforts to rectify them.
∎ Conduct daily briefings on matters of importance to the team
∎ Inspect all aspects of the restaurant and bar environment ensuring compliance with standards of cleanliness and order. Direct respective personnel to rectify deficiencies.
∎ Monitor and assist Host(ess) in greeting and escorting guests to their tables according to departmental procedures. Ensure that tables are seated to best service the guests.
∎ Monitor and ensure that all tables are cleared and reset according to department procedures.
∎ Handle voided checks in accordance with Finance procedures.
∎ Assist servers with expediting problem payments. Ensure all cashiering procedures are processed in compliance with accounting standards.
∎ Provide staff with timely performance feedback. Handle disciplinary problems and counsel employees according to Hotel standards.
∎ Prepare weekly forecast of revenues, covers and labor costs.
∎ Identify positive upselling techniques
∎ Be able to walk throughout the day and stand for long periods of time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Previous hospitality experience.
∎ Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
∎ Any previous culinary training.
∎ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
∎ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
∎ Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
∎ Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
∎ Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.
