Responsibilities & Context:
This position is under the ICSETEP (Improving Computer and Software Engineering Tertiary Education Project) funded by the UGC, ADB, and Government of Bangladesh, implemented at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Varendra University.
The project focuses on the design and development of an affordable myoelectric prosthetic hand for low-income amputees in Bangladesh.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist in embedded system and microcontroller-based development
Work with EMG sensors, servo motors, and control electronics
Support PCB design, circuit assembly, and hardware debugging
Assist in 3D printing, mechanical assembly, and prototype development
Collect, preprocess, and analyze EMG and experimental data
Support signal processing and machine learning-based gesture recognition
Conduct laboratory testing, performance evaluation, and documentation
Assist in research report writing and publication preparation
Support user testing and validation activities
Maintain laboratory equipment and project resources
