Experience:
A graduate/postgraduate from a recognized university, preferably with a thesis, in a related discipline such as economics, statistics, development studies or social sciences.
2-3 years of experience in research. Candidates have to be highly motivated and committed to research work and target-oriented delivery.
Must have sound knowledge in data management skills and data analysis using SPSS or STATA, preferably KoBo Collect and Open Data Kit (ODK).
Candidates must be capable of displaying learning ability and an action-oriented approach.
Good analytical ability, and excellent writing skills in English and Bangla.
Familiarity with funding sources and grant application processes.
Strong communication skills and high computer literacy are a must.
Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), BRAC University (BRACU) is looking for a Research Assistant for different development projects being implemented by the Centre.
Major Responsibilities:
Developing indicators and preparing both quantitative as well as qualitative data collection tools as per guidelines
Reviewing project documents, national survey reports, and policy documents
Transcribing, translating, cleaning, analyzing data, processing/compiling data, writing reports, preparing presentations, etc. and other tasks related to its research activities.
Excellent research proposal writing and editing skills.
Excellent project proposal writing and editing skills.
Provide logistic and administrative support for in-house training workshops and conferences, wherever necessary.
Participate in internal and external events such as meetings, training and necessary field trips of the project.
Participate in communication and advocacy events for the dissemination of the project`s research and selected outputs through workshops, seminars, symposiums, and conferences.
Assist in maintaining contacts with external stakeholders.
Participate in capacity building and training activities of field enumerators.
Being flexible to visit respective fields in and outside Dhaka as and when required for conducting any event related to the organization.
Any other project related/other institutional tasks as assigned by the institute.
