- Required Qualifications :
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience in technical roles within agricultural projects, with a focus on climate resilience, sustainable practices, and field-level coordination.
- Language: Fluency in Bengali and English is essential.Skills and Expertise
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of climate-smart agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and food security strategies.
- Training and Facilitation: Proven experience in conducting technical training and capacity-building sessions for diverse audiences.

Position Title : Technical Coordinator
Project : Climate Resilient Smart Agri Connect : Enhancing Climate Resilience, Environment-Friendly & Smart Agro-Based Food Security Project
Duty Station : Project Offices & Field in Khulna & Barisal Districts
Reports to : Project Manager
Contract Type : Fixed term, Duration : 22 months
The Technical Coordinator will play a key role in providing technical expertise and coordinating field-level activities to support sustainable, climate-resilient agricultural practices.
Position Overview : The Technical Coordinator is responsible for guiding technical components of the project, focusing on promoting climate-smart agriculture and sustainable practices within the target areas. This role involves extensive fieldwork, coordination with stakeholders, and the provision of technical support to ensure that agricultural and climate resilience goals are effectively implemented.
Scope of Responsibilities
A. Technical Planning and Strategy (10%):
Develop detailed technical strategies and work plans, aligning them with project objectives for climate-smart agriculture.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish measurable milestones and outcomes for technical interventions.
Contribute to policy and strategy development for climate resilience and environmental sustainability in the project areas.
B. Program Implementation and Technical Support (60%)
Lead the implementation of technical activities, including sustainable agricultural practices, climate-resilient farming, and food security interventions.
Provide hands-on technical support to field facilitators, community mobilizers, and other staff to ensure adherence to project goals and technical protocols.
Oversee the development of demonstration plots and model farms to showcase climate-resilient techniques.v Conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and provide timely technical solutions.
C. Stakeholder Coordination and Resource Mobilization (10%) :
Coordinate with local government officials, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders to foster partnerships and mobilize technical resources.
Facilitate technical training workshops and community consultations to engage stakeholders in climate-resilient agricultural practices.
Represent PURNIMA in relevant technical forums, workshops, and seminars to advocate for sustainable agricultural practices.
D. Capacity Building and Team Management (20%) :
Build the capacity of project staff and local partners through training sessions on technical aspects of climate-smart agriculture and sustainable practices.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to field staff, ensuring skill development in climate resilience and environmental conservation.
Lead technical training workshops for community members, focusing on improved agricultural techniques, resource management, and sustainable practices.
