Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ Masters or equivalent degree in psychology/ relevant subject from reputed university.
∎ Training / Diploma on psychotherapy, clinical psychology and counselling of victims.

∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ An International organization which works in the anti human trafficking sector in Bangladesh seeks to recruit a Psychosocial counsellor. We work with the Law enforcement agencies to rescue victims of slavery, bring criminal networks to justice and spark systemic change. We restore lives, secure communities at risk from traffickers.
∎ Duration of the contract: 1 year (renewal of contract based on performance)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assess mental health needs of the survivors using scientific methods to develop effective trauma recovery plan
∎ Travel frequently to provide psychosocial counselling support to rescued survivors of human trafficking in areas like Jashore, Shatkhira, Khulna etc.
∎ Support survivors based on their need to improve their mental strength and restore their mental strength to recover from the trauma.
∎ Documenting individual counselling sessions for further analysis
∎ Work and liaise closely with the Survivors, Program Officers, Field Facilitators
∎ Develop strategies and tools for the effective counselling sessions and ensure those are applied in program context
∎ Case management of the survivors through developing Individual care plan (ICP)
∎ Develop effective tools to measure psychological progress of the survivors throughout the recovery process
∎ Liaise and network with other external service providers to ensure survivors access to required services
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3-5 years of working experience as a professional counsellor, specially with survivors of violence- experience in working with survivors of human trafficking is desired
∎ Knowledge on trafficking survivor's case management
∎ Clear understanding on Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
∎ Excellent command of English writing and speaking.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
∎ Festival Bonus
