Job Context:
∎ STATUS: Full-time; contingent upon continuation of donor funding
∎ REPORTS TO: Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Prosecution Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and reporting of prosecution activities.
∎ He/she manages prosecution technical activities in targeted project districts; identifies and coordinates with collaboration partners and leverages opportunities;
∎ monitors grantee implementation, budgets, and achievements against targets;
∎ develops program communications and reports on prosecution successes;
∎ contributes to program strategies and budget forecasting; develops consultant Terms of Reference (ToRs) and RFAs for prosecution grantees and leads their selection and award process;
∎ provides expertise on laws, policies, and processes; and supervises up to three Regional Coordinators.
∎ Leads development, planning, implementation, and reporting of activities and oversees implementing NGO partners under the prosecution component.
∎ Oversees coordination of prosecution related activities in the program districts.
∎ Builds and maintains relationships with government counterparts (at national and local levels); with NGO implementing partners and with beneficiaries; identifies collaborating organizations and leverages opportunities.
∎ Supervises up to three Regional Coordinators in a matrix model.
∎ Develops Terms of Reference (TORs) for consultants.
∎ Leads subgrantee selection and award process and monitors budget and implementation against targets.
∎ Contributes to program strategy and develop program communications and reporting on prosecution component achievements.
∎ Designs and facilitates training sessions for justice sector and law enforcement actors.
∎ Prepares regular written updates for the donor.
∎ Provides expertise to FSTIP management on laws, policies, and processes.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of seven years' experience managing and implementing complex access to justice activities for international development projects, preferably with USAID.
∎ Solid knowledge of human trafficking and child marriage related national and international laws, rules, and protocols.
∎ Experience developing program communications and reports on prosecution successes.
∎ Experience conducting a large number of training activities for senior officials.
∎ Experience with the Special Tribunals for Human Trafficking in Bangladesh strongly preferred.
∎ Experience developing and managing subgrants.
∎ Familiarity with USAID DRG portfolio strongly preferred.
∎ Fluent Bangla and English.
∎ Microsoft Office Skills.
∎ Strong oral and written communication skills.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and manage multiple competing priorities and activities.
∎ Ability to travel frequently to project areas.
