∎ Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Field Officer for the "The Satkhira Resilient Water Systems Pilot, Bangladesh" Project supported by Save the Children
∎ Job Title: Project Officer
∎ Reports to: Project Coordinator

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A Project Officer will be responsible for the following tasks (Including but not limited to): Ensure safe and equitable distribution of water and provide technical knowledge for sustainable use of water purification facilities to water management committee
∎ Daily arrangement and look after water supply for 40,000 people.
∎ Work for set up good water management practices in schools for 2500 school children including promoting rainwater harvesting techniques, reservoir management for uninterrupted drinking water supply
∎ Organize 10 women user groups on water management and WASH
∎ Developing and Monitoring WASH programs and Water supply programs
∎ Building the capacity of local communities and organizations to manage and maintain water services, and providing training and support as needed.
∎ Preparing regular progress reports, case studies, MEAL related activities and presenting project updates to stakeholders, and project team members
∎ Maintain liaison with different stakeholders and CCA actors through regular coordination.
∎ Support the CLA collection process for NGOAB approval process.
∎ Assist the youth platforms in organizing advocacy-related dialogues, seminars, and campaigns for water justice and local resource management for climate change adaptation.
∎ Organize 10 women user groups on water management: educating members on safe water practices, training on proper water purification techniques, for increased participation of women in water management.?
∎ Set up a community managed water storage facilities for community use during periods when the water purification services are not functional/ during times of interrupted water supply
∎ Set up good water management practices in schools for 2500 school children including promoting rainwater harvesting techniques, reservoir management for uninterrupted drinking water supply
∎ Develop standard WASH and climate change guidelines and manuals for water management committees, women user groups and schools on water facilities management.
∎ Improved surface water management, governance and conservation adopted by the 10 vulnerable communities using nature-based solutions and local knowledge
∎ Organize Training on surface water management for water management committees and women user groups
∎ Install pond sand filters (PSF) at selected ponds as well as reinforce pond boundaries using nature-based solutions to protect water resources from saline water intrusion
∎ Arrange dialogues and stakeholder consultations with local Upazila and district Administration and local government (District and Upazilla Disaster Management Committee, local administration District
∎ Organize youth platforms to promote local climate change and water management solutions in coastal districts.
∎ Arrange capacity-building events for the youth platforms, such as training and interactive learning sessions on water resource management.
∎ Assist the youth platforms in sensitizing school children about water management techniques, local adaptation knowledge, and reducing the risk of water-borne disease.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years of experience in working with NGO and private sector
∎ Strong management skills, including the ability to provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, and mentorship to staff.
∎ Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak and write fluently in English.
∎ Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant computer software.
∎ MEAL, Communication and Knowledge management skill
