Job Context:
∎ Name of Project: “Comprehensive Initiative for Strengthening the Capacity of the Vulnerable Communities in the Flood Prone Areas in Sirajganj District of Bangladesh”.
∎ Duration of Project: 23 Months (February 2022 to December 2023)
∎ Funded by: Oxfam in Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Carry out need assessment for CFW & WASH and prepare detail budget along with BoQ.
∎ Ensure proper site selection for construction works of CFW & WASH facilities.
∎ Risk Assessment to implement CFW & WASH Facility constructions.
∎ Follow-up/supervise the quality of CFW & WASH construction work is of a high standard.
∎ Assist in identifying appropriate and context specific designs for CFW & WASH construction. This will also include appropriate and updated design, drawing, Bill of Quantities (BoQs) etc.
∎ Regular reporting to Project Coordinator
∎ To identify the skilled person for installing & repairing the hardware options.
∎ Keep close communication with DPHE to ensure quality of the works.
∎ Monitor and complete construction work to ensure quality and timeliness.
∎ Assist workers to ensure quality of construction work.
∎ Assist team in selecting vendors for construction work.
∎ Ensure quality of construction materials in collaboration with Project team.
∎ Supervise and ensure security during construction work.
∎ Arrange formal/on job training as where is necessary
∎ Progress report Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly.
∎ Any other tasks given by the supervisor / management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ WASH related experience would be highly desirable.
∎ At least 1 year(s) experience in NGO/INGO.
∎ Experience of working in remote char areas will get priority
∎ Experience of working in Oxfam Funded Project would be preferable.
Salary: Tk. 30000 - 35000 (Monthly)
