∎ LEAN Project:
∎ The Leadership to Ensure Adequate Nutrition (LEAN) project aims to improve maternal and child nutrition in the remote areas of Chottogram Hill Tracts (CHT) through a consortium of six partners led by United Purpose (UP). LEAN Project consists of members from consortium partners. Members from diverse organizations form one team under LEAN Project to achieve common objectives.
∎ The project aims to break the perpetual cycle of under nutrition in 18 selected Upazilias under the Districts of Rangamati, Bandarban, and Khagrachari of CHT. The project is funded by the European Commission (EC) to improve maternal and child nutrition for 282,000 pregnant and lactating women, children under 5 and adolescent girls by providing holistic, nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific livelihoods models to diversify diets and income for the most vulnerable whilst working with local, district and national government to promote nutrition-sensitive governance at all levels.
∎ The specific objective of the Project is "to create an enabling environment for improved and sustained pro-poor nutrition security service delivery and awareness will address the institutional determinants of undernutrition in the CHT which include the political and policy framework for nutrition, and the coordination and service delivery structures".

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Development of M&E Plans and Strategies for LEAN Project at District Level:
∎ Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive and realistic monitoring and evaluation plans and strategies with appropriate data sources, collection methods, analysis plans, quality controls and resource requirements.
∎ Continually assess methodologies and instruments for collection, documentation, analysis and reporting of data for weaknesses and potential improvements.
∎ Report to Coord MRM and give feedback to the Chair- District Project Implementation Unit on the weakness, risks, low performance etc.
∎ Collect information on the latest developments of the use of new types of data sources and tools (e.g. big data) for sustainable development.
∎ Coordinate Monitoring, Data Collection, and Reporting for LEAN Project:
∎ Design monitoring and evaluation resource materials, templates, and guidance documentation for effective monitoring.
∎ Support the Chair District Project Implementation Unit is achieving the overall results within the district.
∎ Coordinate and participate in inter district work related to the collection and use of monitoring data, as well as evaluation and reporting.
∎ Perform field visits to ensure the quality and accuracy of collected or reported data.
∎ Support the development and implementation of baseline, mid-line, end-line and periodic evaluations.
∎ Coordinate evaluation validation meetings.
∎ Document progress of LEAN Project against project implementation plans, results matrix, milestones and targets.
∎ Communicate and coordinate with existing partnerships in identifying risks and opportunities.
∎ Communicate and coordinate with internal and external partners on data collection and project/research implementation.
∎ Knowledge Management and Dissemination:
∎ Facilitate the efficient flow of monitoring and evaluation data within LEAN Project from secretariat to Field Facilitator.
∎ Facilitate the sharing of best practices with the LEAN Project Team and implementing partners.
∎ Support the identification of good practices and lessons learned and share findings with the LEAN Project Team, colleagues and partners so that best practices benefit LEAN Project's works.
∎ Provide administrative and logistical support as necessary.
∎ Assist the Chair DPIU in implementation activities, organizing meetings, workshops etc.
∎ Follow up on deadlines, commitments made, actions taken and coordination of collection and submission of the reports.
∎ Engage directly and pro-actively with operational activities in the district.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by Coord MRM and the Chair DPIU.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' experience in the relevant field
∎ Experience of working with nutrition governance and/or health and nutritional project is plus
∎ Experience in maintaining web base database and real time monitoring is plus
∎ Working experience in the Chottogram Hill Tracts (CHT) will be given preference
∎ Strong Computer application skills in the use of MS Office packages (Access, Word, Excel, e-mail).
∎ Language Requirements: Very high level of skill in English and Bangla, oral, writing, translation and typing is required
∎ Assessment:
∎ Long listing: Fulfilment of minimum qualifications
∎ Shortlisting: Candidates with higher qualifications are shortlisted.
∎ Written Test: Assess analytical skill under time constraints. Scheduled online written test.
∎ Interview: Skype.
