∎ In this context, United Purpose seeks applications from qualified candidates to fill up the following position based in UP Field Office- Cox`s Bazar for one of its projects titled "Improving Community Resilience Through Cooperative Livelihood Actions (ICRA)" funded by IOM to be implemented at FDMNs` sheltered areas and the Unions of Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazilas under Cox`s Bazar district.
∎ As a key responsible person, the Project Officer- Market Development will support the Programme Coordinator/ Project Manager/Livelihood Specialist/ Assistant Project Manager, and coordinate other project officials in the areas of market development of women and young producers, products, and enterprise development through private sectors and institutional linage as part of reaching the visibility of its goal, objectives and results. As a means of resilient and cooperative livelihood development in project implementation, the project expect to the position to monitor the market, search market innovation, and expose these with well documentation to help others in producers` exposure in market and its forward and backward linkage.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To ensure project have better plan to achieve their goals:
∎ Ensure and update the Details Implementation Plan (DIP) of market development options under the project timely
∎ Visit & monitor the market and research the gaps in supply and demand sides of products in market as well as identify the market innovation
∎ Set results and executing of the market development activities effectively and timely at your working area and support business and cooperative development of youths and women
∎ Ensure the outputs of market development under the project plan is executed, and the target producers are linked and exposed to the market, monitored and documented its progress
∎ Support to identify the enterprise development options, future aspects of the producers, and share objectives herewith for their business development
∎ Regular visit the fields of producers groups, private sectors and markets and meet with their representative, report, develop and expose the service inventory
∎ Ensure the support to matchmaking within the producers and market actors
∎ Develop training module and plan and provide information and train the youths on market development scope and strategies
∎ Identify, report and document the scopes of terms of reference for institutional linkage, market development, and access to finance and inclusion
∎ Oversees the quality of products as per market demands and ensure the scopes of renovation in products' quality, hygiene and safety
∎ Support to select the logistics in production, hygiene and safety measurement and business expansion
∎ Support in the development of innovative business of youths and women sharing the scope of market and enterprise development
∎ Support to select and finalise the beneficiaries list of livelihood and social cohesion interventions
∎ To ensure the effective coordination and communication, compliances and documentation:
∎ Ensuring maintenance of effective coordination and communication with UNO, LGI's, ISCG, CiC, clusters, sector's, line departments and other stake holders in advance by sharing detail plan
∎ Ensuring the participation of GoB and other relevant committee(s) within the project areas that could contribute to bring effective results at project level.
∎ Ensuring reports are prepared within timeline and submitted
∎ Internal and external best practice and lesson learning on projects activities are documented and used in on-going procedures.
∎ Supporting team members to enable them to give of their best e.g. by encouraging and praising good performance, coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, providing resources, tools and equipment.
∎ Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the organization;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Should have in depth understanding of the inclusive market development framework in disaster like situations, FDMNs and host community situations in Cox's Bazar district
∎ At least 3 years' working experience in the same or equivalent position in social development sector or relevant field. Experience within a national or international NGO will give preference .
∎ Strong knowledge and understanding on value chain, market development, PPSE, Cooperative Livelihood Option, SME, in access to finance, and institutional linkage of producers, TVET, government priorities in business development, different government structure, youths engagement in job market, and excellent understanding of humanitarian assistance in emergencies
∎ Good negotiation and communication skills with public and private sectors as well as overall market actors
∎ Good communication skills (oral and written) with community and relevant stakeholders
∎ Well-known local language/dialect and ability to work with people from different cultures, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
∎ Highly energetic, motivated and ability to work effectively as a team member
∎ Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
∎ Proficiency in MS office tools, including Word and Power Point
