- Very comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Bangla composing skills, internet navigation, etc.).
- 2 years’ working experience in relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve complex results under strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics, transparency, and accountability in program implementation.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Bangla.
Responsibilities & Context: Responsible for:
- Implement activities in line with the Inclusive Citizenship (IC) program at the field level.
- Serve as the focal person for coordinating awareness, advocacy, and capacity-building activities, engaging communities, and liaising with local leaders and government officials to ensure effective project implementation.
- Directly supervising and monitoring day-to-day activities of project supervisors of the assigned areas and providing them appropriate guidance for the effective achievement of project objectives and goal.
- Guiding the supervisors with effective work plan and other logistic supports.
- Ensuring the effective use of the monthly approved project funds and different event funds, through the preparation of working budget.
- Provide legal counseling and advice to paralegals and beneficiaries.
- Facilitate and deliver legal awareness sessions for communities, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
- Assist in filing cases with DLAC, follow up on dispute settlements, and maintain mediation records.
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor paralegals, Legal Information Booths.
- Facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for supervisors and paralegals on legal issues.
- Liaison with public and private stakeholders at union, upazila, and district levels to ensure access to justice for beneficiaries.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly reports and work plans as per guidelines.
- Undertake administrative and management responsibilities as required.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management at Head Office.
Activities:
- Conducting different surveys, documenting and reporting the results
- Documenting and reporting community information, project involvement
- Orienting project to different stakeholders, duty bearers, government officials, judiciaries, community members, community leaders
- Monitoring the formation of different groups, i.e. adult groups, FCS groups, youth groups
- Selecting schools for conduction of weekly classes, PTS meetings
- Monitoring different groups, school activities and reporting the activities
- Monitoring and reporting the activities of FCP and FCGA
- Monitoring and reporting on the services provided through Legal Information Booths
- Organizing monthly orientation session on curriculum
- Liaison with DLAC, GOs and other NGOs
- Assist to prepare different manual for Friendship Community Paralegals.
- Support to organize the training session for the local mediators from the community to handle disputes effectively.
- Promote alternative dispute resolution methods like arbitration and negotiation.
- Train community members in Traditional Salish techniques to resolve conflicts amicably.
- Following the organizational Code of Ethics and policies.
