  • 2/3 years Job experience on persons with disabilities issues e.g. CBR process, Sign language, etc.
  • Should have a proven record of leadership, team-building, cultural sensitivity and diplomacy.
  • Working knowledge English and ability of monitoring, documentation and data management.
  • Working experience with computers.
  • Previous experience in working in the char and islands areas and knowledge of local languages will be a definite advantage 


Responsibilities & Context:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the successful and overall implementation of “Friendship Disability Inclusion Development Programme”.       
  • To provide technical, strategic and administrative support and supervision of different level staff (Project Physiotherapist, Field Supervisors etc) in the projects at district, Upazila and community level.  
  • Responsible for liaison with government bodies, NGOs, institutions and other stakeholders, arrange different level advocacy meetings.
  • Responsible for organizing different levels of advocacy meetings, workshops, seminars.
  • Ability to organize services increased access, availability of, quality health care to the population in the remote places who belong the PWD issue.
  • Good knowledge cares for operating systems on who are suffering from mental and physical challenges.
  • Access to emergency services, including a swift and affordable effective referral system.
  • Responsible for organizing and facilitating the special session with selected persons with disabilities.
  • Responsible for facilitating different awareness sessions with self-help groups (Persons with disabilities/caregivers), community leaders, youth groups etc. 
  • Regularly follow up the patients under the project.
  • Responsible for counseling & taking concern for any procedure, during treatment at home and outside of char/area.
  • Monitor the implementation areas and coordinate with the Head Office team.
  • Responsible for preparing a monthly/quarterly/annual work plan, preparing financial documents etc.
  • Positive mentality to work with project and Friendship colleagues.
  • Responsible for any assigned work as per advice by the authority concerned.
  • Along with project activity implementation he/she will be responsible for documentation, monitoring and data management of the project.

Patients care issues:

  • Need to show empathy to the patient.
  • Need to explain all the procedures and treatment to the patient.
  • Need to spend more time with patients and give motivational speech.
