Job Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the mainstream of society according to the CBR matrix.

• Provide technical, strategic, and administrative support to different levels of staff (RO, TS etc.) in the projects at the district, upazila, and community level.  

• Persons with disabilities’ inclusion in the mainstream of society requires ensuring accessibility.

• Conduct HHs visit, family counselling, referral, awareness building, community mobilization, field supervision, staff & beneficiaries capacity building. 

• Ensuring that project activities are implemented according to established project principles with adequate community participation.

• Program budget, MFR, purchase requisition & concept note prepared.

• Prepare plan and reports (weekly, monthly, half-yearly, annually, workshop, event, meeting, etc.)

• Develop strong collaborative, supportive, and mutually respectful relationships with diverse team members, key stakeholders, and the community.  

• To organize capacity building training/event for CBRW/SHG/OPD.

• To facilitate training regarding capacity building of SHG members, financial management, FGD, service linkage, event management, voice raising, and advocacy.

• Organizing meeting/workshop/ orientation with project participants and key stakeholders.

• To visit the Beneficiary home, Union Parishad, community clinic, Union Health & family welfare center, Upazilla health complex.

• To provide job training to service providers on disability screening, recording etc.

• To follow up on the technical supervisors’ and community workers’ activity.

• Any kind of task complete which provided by HO or higher management.

 Patient care issues:

• Need to show empathy to the patient

• Need to explain all the procedures and treatment to the patient.

• Need to spend more time with patients and give motivational speeches.

 Educational Requirements:

• Master’s degree in development studies/ disability management/ social sciences/ environmental science/ relevant fields.

• Based on work experience bachelor’s degree may be reconsidered.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of persons with disabilities’ rights and safeguarding issues in Bangladesh.

• Minimum 2/3 years of practical working experience on issues related to persons with disabilities, such as the CBR process. Required 6 years of experience for bachelor’s degree.

  Should have a proven record of leadership, team building, cultural sensitivity and diplomacy

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in essential computer software.

• Knowledge and experience in project monitoring, evaluation, and learning.

• Experience in working with Organizations with Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), Self-help Groups (SHGs), adolescent groups, PTSD, etc. 

• Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla.

• Previous experience of working in the char and islands areas and knowledge of local languages will be a definite advantage
