∎ In this context, United Purpose seeks applications from qualified candidates to fill up the following position based in UP Field Office- Cox`s Bazar for one of its projects titled "Improving Community Resilience Through Cooperative Livelihood Actions (ICRA)" funded by IOM to be implemented at FDMNs` sheltered areas and the Unions of Ukhiya and Teknaf Upazilas under Cox`s Bazar district.
∎ As one of the key responsible persons, the Project Officer- Business Development will support the entire project personnel and coordinate other project officials in the areas of resilient and cooperative livelihood, business and entrepreneurship development of women and youths and support to foster enterprise development as part of reaching the visibility of its goal, objectives and results in the project implementation. The project also expect to the position to accomplish the small scale livelihood grants management, develop and progress monitor of business plan, production volume, supply of products in market linkage of the women and youths producers, expose these with well documentation and coordination with others to foster the producers` exposure in its forward and backward markets of value chain profoundly.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To ensure project have better plan to achieve their goals:
∎ Develop and ensure Details Implementation Plan (DIP) of formation of SHG/youths groups, EDT, Skill Training, livelihood grants management and Business Plan of women and youths producers.
∎ Accomplishment of Baseline Survey, Beneficiaries Selection, Formation of Self-Help and youths Groups, EDT, Skill, TVET, business development of women and young producers, ICT, Career skill, Literacy Skill, Behavioural Change, etc.
∎ Ensure the outputs of livelihood grant support under business plan development, the project plan is executed, and the target producers are in track according to their business plan developed.
∎ Set results and executing of the business development activities effectively and timely at your working area and support business and cooperative development of youths and women producers
∎ Support in development training modules of relevant EDT and business skill development and to ensure that the operational guidelines of the project activities are implemented in right track
∎ Support in assessment livelihood options, sub-sectors, and future aspects of production through participatory VCA, share objectives herewith and its field implementation and viable market linkages.
∎ Insight investigation and coach the staff herewith as a result of preventing conflicts
∎ Ensue the scopes of the logistics in production, hygiene and safety measurement in ED and undertake collaborative efforts with public and private sectors for inclusive market development.
∎ Coordination, liaison and collaboration with Upazila administration, Sectoral departments, Camp & Local Authorities, civil society, Private Sectors & other actors.
∎ Ensure the accomplishment of community orientations on behavioural change & nutrition, social cohesion, peace building, conflict prevention, early marriage, trafficking & GBV, SRHR, DRR, etc.
∎ Ensure active engagement of community peoples DRR and RRAP in business development.
∎ Support to implement the innovative business of youths and women identifying the scope of market and enterprise development
∎ Support in selection of Small Scale Mitigation Works, Development of Co-management Committee, and Beneficiaries selection for Cash for Work.
∎ Regular visit the fields of producers groups, and meet the public and private sectors and markets and meet with their representative, report, develop and expose the service inventory.
∎ To ensure the effective coordination and communication, compliances and documentation:
∎ Ensuring maintenance of effective coordination and communication with UNO, LGI's, ISCG, CiC, clusters, sector's, DAE, DLS, DFO, DYD, DWA, MFIs, LSPs, Pravets, Inputs and outputs; companies & retailors, traders, etc. for viable institutional linkage of producers.
∎ Ensuring the participation of GoB and other relevant committee(s) within the project areas that could contribute to bring effective results at project level.
∎ Support in development Partnership and Public & Private sectors engagement for viable input and output market linkage and supply chain development herewith
∎ Ensuring reports are prepared within timeline and submitted
∎ Internal and external best practice and lesson learning on projects activities are documented and used in on-going procedures.
∎ Supporting team members to enable them to give of their best e.g. by encouraging and praising good performance, coaching, assisting staff to prevent or resolve problems, providing resources, tools and equipment.
∎ Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the organization;
∎ Ensure the logistic and financial management in conducting the activities

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' working experience in the same or equivalent position in social development sector or relevant field. Experience within a national or international NGO will give preference .
∎ In depth understanding of the inclusive market development framework in disaster like situations, FDMNs and host community situations in Cox's Bazar district
∎ Strong knowledge and understanding on value chain, cooperative and resilient livelihood, entrepreneurship and business, jobs and career development of women and youths, DRR and inclusive business, government priorities in business development, different government structure, and excellent understanding of humanitarian assistance in emergencies
∎ Good communication skills (oral and written) with community and relevant stakeholders
∎ Well-known local language/dialect and ability to work with people from different cultures, gender, religion, race, nationality and age
∎ Highly energetic, motivated and ability to work effectively as a team member
∎ Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude
∎ Good command on MS-Office (MS word, Excel, Power Point etc.) with excellent typing skills in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent networking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
∎ Critical and creative thinking and analytical skills. Ability to compose, edit, analyse and report using complex information
∎ Strong analytical and report-writing skills
∎ Ability to handle financial issues with relevant concerns
∎ Ability to work effectively with people from diverse background
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team
∎ Ability to work a flexible work schedule
∎ Highly motivated, self -starter, ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
∎ Supportive and committed to work for vulnerable groups, values-oriented and gender sensitive
