Job Context:
∎ Project: Scaling-Up Women`s Business Centres (WBC-Phase 5)

∎ Project Duration: 18 months
∎ Duty Station: Field Location (Jamalpur)
∎ Reporting to: Head of Food Security and Livelihood
∎ Grade and Salary Range: III C

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project implementation
∎ Develop regional project implementation plan, APOs & Budget in close collaboration with Food Security and Livelihoods, respective project staff ensure implementation of the activities.
∎ Provide guidance and support on programmatic, financial and administrative issues to the implementing partners.
∎ Develop monthly reports and discuss with Food Security and Livelihoods according to the set format on the progress of work plan objectives and activities
∎ Implement/support project activities according to individual work plan and building on project set objectives.
∎ Finance & Human resource management
∎ In coordination with the head of Food Security and Livelihood s, provide overall management support to the Assistant project officers through helping to establish their individual work plans and organising regular performance review sessions.
∎ Support the Assistant project officers in the realisation of their work plans through guidance, regular one to one meetings, joint field visits, and monitoring their work plans.
∎ Monitor progress of activities of the Assistant project officers through receiving and reviewing back to office reports and discussing work plans.
∎ Closely monitor respective Assistant project officers on finance, HR and administrative related matters for a sound maintenance on these aspects and update Head of Food security and livelihood in case of necessary improvement and measures.
∎ Signal any concern regarding the behaviour/work of UP staff or partner's staff in a timely and confidential manner.
∎ Participate in the establishment of a project procurement plan in compliance with project's requirements, and provide necessary follow-up.
∎ In coordination with head of Food Security and Livelihoods, Country operation Manager and finance manager, ensure appropriate budget monitoring procedures are in place and contribute to timely financial reporting.
∎ Monitor WBCs budget as set in the agreement and compliance with donor's requirements and signal any concern regarding partner's budget management.
∎ Building capacity of women entrepreneurs on Business plan development
∎ Assess training needs of the WBC especially with respect to their knowledge on business and market development
∎ Organise and facilitate workshops/ meetings/ training/learning visits, etc
∎ Develop tools and guidelines for market assessment, business plan, financial management for Women entrepreneurs
∎ Develop training module on agricultural technology, business plan, financial management for Women entrepreneurs
∎ Review and finalize guidelines of WBC formation
∎ Support Assistant project officers to facilitate women Business centres
∎ Develop tools and guidelines for savings groups promotion
∎ Support Women Business and finance Officers to facilitate savings groups promotion
∎ Support Assistant project officers/Women Business and finance Officers to organise quarterly workshops of WBCs
∎ Ensure services for the rural women and producer's affordable and innovative climate-resilient technology/ agricultural products
∎ Explore relevant technology [input and output] for the producers
∎ Develop leaflets for women producers on agricultural technology, Health wash and nutrition
∎ Support Assistant project officers to establish contract with WBCs entrepreneurs for court yard sessions
∎ Support Assistant project officers to develop and implement courtyard sessions of WBCs entrepreneurs
∎ Support Assistant project officers to develop and implement technology demonstrations
∎ Monthly update list of women producers lists and record scan copy
∎ Market and Financial linkages with public and private sector organisations
∎ Develop value chain assessment tools, guidelines and conduct assessment in close collaboration with Head of Food Security & Livelihood.
∎ Identify potential value chain market actors, service providers, stakeholders at local and regional level and develop strategies for analysing and addressing their constraints
∎ Compile business plan of WBC, value chain map, systemic constraints, strategic options,
∎ Organise matchmaking workshops with market actors and identify potential opportunities to create sustainable linkages.
∎ Organise learning visit for WBC entrepreneurs and market actors.
∎ Knowledge management, monitoring and reporting
∎ Assist Monitoring Specialist to develop tools and guidelines to measure the results of economic interventions together with the Head of Food Security
∎ Ensure timely collection of authentic data from the appropriate sources of information.
∎ Prepare progress reports, case studies, experience capitalisation documents.
∎ Prepare monthly , quarterly six monthly and annual progress report
∎ Representation and Visibility
∎ Develop/maintain strong working relationships with different relevant stakeholders at local level.
∎ Communicate regular with partners and WBCs
∎ Ensure project material, project staff and partner's staffs comply with donor's visibility rules.
∎ Represent UP in external forums.
∎ Promote positive communication about UP.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' working experience in the same or equivalent position in the field of Business development and market linkages.
∎ Experience in INGO / NGO
∎ Experience in development of high standard IEC material, training module and guideline preferred.
∎ MS Office
∎ High level of skill in English and Bangla, oral, writing, translation and typing is required
∎ Analytical and statistical skills
