Education:
Bachelor Degree in Agriculture/Environment/Soil Management/Forestry or a related field.
Have working experience with NGOs in agriculture and social development would be considered a strong plus.
Be a good team player.

Very good command in English (speaking and writing).
Sound skills on computer literacy (MS word, Excel, Power Point and Internet Browsing).

Amra Kaj Kory (AKK) is a Non government, Non-profit Development Organization which established in January 1985. It’s mission is to improve the socio-economic status of the poorest and poor rural communities, especially vulnerable groups like women, children, and people with disabilities. AKK actively addresses poverty, illiteracy, and malnutrition, adaptation to climate change, sustainable agriculture, livelihood, and respond during emergencies and advocating for disaster-affected communities' rights to essential services. Additionally, AKK collaborates with government schemes and donors to enhance community development efforts.
In partnership with the Building Community Voices (BCV) in Cambodia, AKK is going to implement a collaboration exchange project titled "Increase Farm Production, Ensure Food Security and Livelihood Through Climate Adaptation & Environment Friendly Agriculture Practices" financially supported by Norwegian Exchange Cooperation (NOREC), Norway. AKK looking for two candidates for recruiting as Norec Participants/Project Officers who will go to Cambodia for exposure and on-job training under the above stated project.
Duration: 14 months
OVERVIEW:
The overall objective of the exchange project is to increase organizational skills and capacity on climate change, adaptation and food security & livelihoods through environmentally friendly agricultural practices. Also, utilizing the organizational capacity to improve target farmer's knowledge and skills on modern farming systems, particularly increasing farm productions and soil fertility management using environment friendly technologies in Bangladesh and Cambodia. In addition, build awareness on climate change issues to take appropriate measures aligning with global initiatives. The successful candidates will be involved in the project for 14 months period. Which means he/she needs to work in Cambodia for 12 months and another 2 months in Bangladesh to learn and share new skills, real practice and other culture from AKK in Bangladesh and BCV in Cambodia. The participants will be provided moderate accommodation, travel and health insurances, and other expenses related to project activities during their exchange period in Cambodia. During the exchange period (one year), the participants will able to visit home country one time.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Participant must be determined to work with us for 12 months in Cambodia and 2 more months in Bangladesh with AKK.
The Participant must be willing to learn new skills and real practice with different cultures within BCV, Cambodia.
Attending compulsory meetings, events and Preparatory Training Course organized by Norec in Nepal / Srilanka, tentatively during February- March’2026.
Capable to write monthly, half yearly and annual progress reports (in English) for AKK and BCV.
Ability/skills to develop manual or guideline that benefits the staff members and target farmers of both mother and host organization resulting from exchange project (e.g., agriculture techniques).
The participant needs work in AKK for 02 months after coming back from the exchange program in BCB, Cambodia.
Work under supervision of AKK in Bangladesh and BCV in Cambodia.
Specific Responsibilities:
Organize training for farmers on zinc fortified rice production, soil fertility and productivity management.
Develop/update training module on food security and climate change adaptation and organize training for the target farmers.
Organize training on vegetable cultivation as a companion crop and the control of harmful insect diseases to farmers.
Organize training on preparation and use of vermin compost.
Organize training on technique on cattle and poultry farming and disease control method provided to farmers.
Facilitate exchange learning tour for local farmers to visit other areas that practice livestock keeping and vegetable farming and zinc fortified rice production, soil fertility and productivity management.
Revise and distribute IEC materials on new farming techniques and distribute to local farmers.
Revise and disseminate manual on modern agriculture technic on soil management to relevant partners ad farmers.
Revise and disseminate guidelines of modern agriculture technic on soil management to target farmers.
New techniques demonstration in the farmer's field on real practice of zinc fortified rice production, soil fertility and productivity management.
