Job Context:
∎ Uttaran is an NGO working Bangladesh since 1985 (www.uttaran.net). Uttaran is a people cantered organization using a rights based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.
∎ Uttaran jointly with Educo Bangladesh is going to implement a project for the Rohingya families living in Bhashan Char camp of Noakhali district. The objective of the project is to improve protection system and livelihood status of the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) through adolescent and youth engagement.
∎ Expected Starting Date: September 1, 2022
∎ Duration of the Service: 04 Month (Possibility for extension)
∎ Working Station: Uttaran Office, Bhashanchar, Hatia, Noakhali.
∎ Employment Status: Full-time
∎ Report to: Uttaran Management
∎ Job Location: Bhashanchar, Noakhali district

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
∎ Understand the mission, vision, principle, strategies, and policies of Uttaran and implement the project accordingly.
∎ Capacity to work on food security, livelihood and adolescent club management development.
∎ Manage, coordinate and develop the capacity of all project staff according to the policy of Uttaran and according to the objective of the project. Understand to strengthen the capacity of the people with the problem of climatic displacement to cope with adverse situation project objectives, principles and approaches in achieving the goal of the project.
∎ Provide support and guidance to the Monitoring and Documentation officer and Field facilitator to develop, review, oversee and review project strategy and activities related to the implementation of the project according to the project design, risk, and challenges encountered during implementation.
∎ Provide technical assistance for the design of the project's monitoring and evaluation strategy. Support in developing an M&E system to measure profitability and relevant business indicators of targeted people.
∎ Monitor, identify, and advice on challenges and risks facing the implementation of the project
∎ Ensuring the provision of quality data on a timely basis for internal project management and external reporting purposes.
∎ Lead project planning, implementation, and maintaining close collaboration with donor and Uttaran.
∎ Conduct needs assessment among team members and take initiatives to improve the capacity of staff members.
∎ Facilitate the team members to internalize different conceptual and methodological documents as well as processes.
∎ Coaching, mentoring, guiding and accompanying to the respective Project team members.
∎ Develop and contribute for different training materials, handout, modules, guidelines etc. according to requirement.
∎ Assist all staff to develop an effective and coordinated work plan and maintain smooth coordination and team spirit within the pools as well as within the team, ensure regular sharing among the team members about achievements, experiences and learning.
∎ Facilitate in creating of gender sensitive working environment within the team as well as organization.
∎ Provide technical, managerial and logistic support to team for effective implementation of the project activities.
∎ Work on capacity building of project staff to fit them in position to work smoothly
∎ Take responsibilities to integrate different units such as operation, monitoring, rapid response, logistic team and other units working in the same area
∎ Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports, observation reports and expenditure reports
∎ Attend in the Coordination meeting and maintain liaison with Donor, Govt bodies, and other organizations and provide assistance to them as and when required
∎ Arrange field schedule and accompany visitors and explain the project activities
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Proper relation with relevant Government Department and Rohingya camp incharge.
∎ Engage relevant line departments in creating AIGA opportunities

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 10 years' experience in food security, livelihood and adolescent club management development.
∎ Working experience within NGO/INGO in managerial positions like project coordinator/ project manager.
∎ Commitment to an understanding of Uttaran's core values and principles.
∎ Demonstrated competency to work independently with minimum supervision.
∎ Experience in project cycle management including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
∎ Have an effective acquaintance with people management.
∎ Excellent planning and time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
∎ Have good command of the English language.
∎ Have excellent writing, reporting, and analytical skills.
∎ Have excellent knowledge and skill in Office applications (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel).
∎ Self-motivation, goal/result-orientation, and teamwork.
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle with valid driving license

Salary:
∎ Tk. 70000 (Monthly)
∎ Monthly salary BDT. 70,000 including all benefits

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ As per Uttarans Policy and Project Design.
