Job Context:
∎ Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government humanitarian organization working for the advancement of the poor, women, children, minority group, excluded people and person with disability since 2000. NSS is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, casts, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.
∎ The organization is going to implement a project titled "Community based Resilience, Women`s Empowerment and Action (CREA)", supported by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF). The project will be implemented at Pathorghata Upazila of Barguna District. The project duration is March 2023 to June 2026. In this current project NSS is searching a woman Project Coordinator (PC) to implement the project activities. The PC is responsible for daily oversight of the project activities including close monitoring and coordination with donor`s assigned person and NSS Management.
∎ Job Location: Patharghata Upazila of Barguna District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead the project team in successfully implementing project activities following the project agreement and agreed work plan with the partner organization.
∎ Organize training, orientation, meeting, workshop, seminar, public hearing and dialogue with policy makers for ensuring rights and entitlements as well as access to government services.
∎ Develop and review project proposal and budget according to the need of the project as well as local context.
∎ Develop project implementation plan and guideline for implementing project activities in successful manner.
∎ Develop capacity of team members for excellent implementation of project activities to achieve the objectives of the project.
∎ Monitor the progress of the project regularly basis with at 70% time in field visit and supervise the subordinate colleagues in supportive role.
∎ Initiate to form different forums at Union and Upazila level (according to the project design) pressure groups to influence duty bearers for ensuring rights and entitlements for women and climate vulnerable people.
∎ Initiate to reduce gender base violence in community and stimulate excluded people to participate in decision making process.
∎ Develop capacity of climate action groups as vibrant groups having a platform to bargain with the duty bearers for their rights and entitlements.
∎ Maintain communication and liaison with LGIs, government respective line departments, UNO and other NGOs, financial institutions and employers.
∎ Develop capacity of UP representatives and Civil Society representatives (Union Citizen Forum and Upazila Citizen Forum.
∎ Develop IEC materials, training modules, session plans, schedules, leaflets, brochures, factsheets, posters, booklets, flipcharts and audio-visual documents.
∎ Attend NGO Coordination Meeting at Upazila and District level and share the progress of the project with different stakeholders in the meeting and collect meeting minutes and preserve it for future reference.
∎ Participate in the district and upazila level GO-NGO, coordination meetings and Hospital Management Committee meetings.
∎ Capture good practices, case story, life stories, lesson learnt and success stories.
∎ Prepare reports and documents on meetings, workshops, seminars and other activities or on the impacts of the project.
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by the project and share them with donor as well as other stakeholders for review and feedback to improve the areas.
∎ Evaluate program effectiveness and monitor program expenditure ensuring budget allocations are adhere to.
∎ Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.
∎ Carryout administrative functions as desired by the project to meet the policy requirements of the organization and donor compliance. Assist the higher management in planning and decision making.
∎ Provide support to Accounts and Admin team keep everything updated as per the policy of the organization and partner's guidelines.
∎ Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Executive Director and MJF.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Minimum 7 years of experience in relevant program management in development sector with sound knowledge in environment protection and good governance.
∎ Skilled in motorcycle driving with a valid driving license will be treated as added value.
∎ High level of IT skill especially in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point other graphical software with internet communication.
∎ Excellent facilitation/coaching skill in orientation, training, workshop, meeting, seminar etc.
∎ Proven writing and oral communication skills in English and Bengali.
∎ Excellent knowledge on RTI, UP Operational Manual, Social Accountability, Advocacy and Lobby, Women Empowerment and Inclusiveness.
∎ Good understanding and analytical ability on current political situation.
∎ Experience in liaison and networking with regional level GoB and NGOs.
∎ Clear knowledge on gender norms and sensitiveness.
∎ Good knowledge in developing ToR, MoU, meeting minutes/resolutions.
∎ Excellent team builder and problem solver with inter personal skill.
∎ Excellent commitment and dedication towards the job.
∎ Selected person must sign in the declaration forms of Gender Policy, Child Protection Policy, Safeguarding Policy, Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy and Anti-Corruption.
∎ Age limit: Not over 40 (the age limit may be relaxed in case of highly experienced candidate).

Salary:
∎ TK. 45,000 with other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
