∎ Min 5 years of working experience in project management, and thematic supervision and guidance of all nexus aspects (humanitarian, development, and social cohesion aspects).
∎ Project management, budget management, people management, and partnership management skills are mandatory.
∎ Having work experience in thematic areas of local governance, DRR strategies and Climate-Resilient livelihoods, food security and market linkages.
∎ Knowledge of social cohesion, local governance, DRR, Climate-Resilient livelihoods, Nexus approach and Humanitarian response is required. Knowledge of the Food Security and Market linkages will add value for the position.
∎ Working experience with international NGOs or UN agencies and relevant networks will add value.
∎ Collaboration, listening, multi-tasking, stress management, problem-solving and communication skills are required.
∎ Have good command of English both in speaking and writing.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To ensure the elaborate annual project implementation plans and budgets for the SHINE project are per the donor and NGOAB requirements and in line with Helvetas guidelines.
∎ Thematic supervision and guidance to team and partners on project components and ensure those are implemented as required in the field. Give practical implementation support to the team on project components (all nexus aspects) such as Social Cohesion, DRR, climate-smart agriculture practices, food security, and market linkages, so staff and partner can learn that and the community gain knowledge from the project for their betterment.
∎ From time to time provide the project team and partner team support to understand project logic and plans and based on the community requirement adjustments in the project plans so the project can be run and implemented smoothly with high effectiveness and efficiency.
∎ Make sure the SHINE project has a sound MEAL system to ensure project objective indicators and outcomes are regularly maintained. Provide necessary support to the team to collect project-relevant data on time and report back to the concerned authority as required.
∎ Timely prepares project narratives and financial reports and provides management and also regular updates for a project to donors. Maintain high-quality reports and presentations at different forums to increase SHINE presentation at different levels.
∎ Build partners' capacity through orientation to get maximum results for the SHINE project.
∎ Ensure good relations with key stakeholders (Local organizations, local government, CSOs, private sector and communities etc).
∎ Participate in different government and sector meetings and represent HELVETAS. Provide regular project updates to concerned government and UN departments.
∎ Coordinate with CiCs and UNOs and facilitate support to the project team for the completion certificate of the project and regular reporting to concerned departments.
∎ In coordination with Nexus Programme Manager, build up and strengthen good relationships with CiC, RRRC, DC office, and other INGOs active in similar sectors.
∎ Coordinate with media as needed for coverage of project learning in electronic media and print articles.
∎ Make sure to oversee the project's operational aspects to implement a smooth project in the field.
∎ Keep a close eye on the financial expenditure of the project and make sure the project provides an appropriate burning rate every month. Build the partner's capacity for financial management and close monitoring of financial aspects with the project team and partner staff.
∎ Develop MEAL system for the project and provide technical support for need assessment, PDMs, and narrative and financial report on time to management and donors.
∎ To maintain all the compliance of the project according to NGOAB, RRRC and UN requirements.
∎ Regularly provide subject guidance to staff and partner organizations on different subjects such as Social cohesion, DRR, Climate-resilient Livelihoods, Food Security, and Market Linkages
∎ Support project team and partners to capture lessons learned and best practices from the project and document them and facilitate exchanging knowledge and learning
∎ Develop strong social cohesion aspects in the project and prepare concept paper and learning documents for future exchange with donor.
∎ Take the lead for experience capitalization of the project and participate in review, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge management processes.

∎ For our Cox’sBazar Regional Office, we are hiring a qualified Project Manager for the SHINE project under national contract for 9 months from July 2024. This position would be directly supervised by the Nexus Programme Manager and with the technical supervision of the Domain Coordinator- Skills, Jobs, and Income.
