∎ Knowledge of WASH and public health and experience in practically applying this knowledge in humanitarian context
∎ Skill on designing Hygiene promotion activities, Water points and latrines and good command in design software, Auto CAD etc.
∎ S/he should have extensive experience inand the latest IT techniques, reporting, documentation, and publication in development fields.
∎ S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in particularly English and also Bengali;
∎ Sound IT literacy with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet;
∎ Displays cultural, gender, religious, Indigenous, and age sensitivity and adaptability;
∎ Treats all people fairly without favoritism or discrimination;
∎ Ability to identify and remedy problems and make decisions;
∎ Committed to meeting the deadlines;
∎ Ability to work under pressure with team spirit;
∎ Fulfills all obligations to gender sensitivity and zero tolerance for sexual harassment.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Construction of a solar-powered and self-sufficient mini-water supply network in Urban area
∎ Establishment of a municipal maintenance team for the repair and maintenance of existing deep and shallow tube wells in rural and urban areas
∎ Installed Reverse Osmosis System/Plant in Urban & Rural area
∎ Construction of tertiary sewer to mitigate the effects of waterlogging in Urban Slum areas
∎ Construction of improved double pit latrines for households’ level
∎ Establishment of a sanitation entrepreneurship within the framework of a sanitation marketing concept
∎ Installation of water recycling filters at the level of households in urban areas
∎ Introduction of a waste collection system and distribution of waste bins to household level
∎ Setting up a plastic exchange corner under climate echo shop in Urban areas
∎ Conduct awareness sessions on the promotion of hygiene, curbing gender-based violence, climate change, gender discrimination, dowry, child marriage and child labour at Urban & Rural areas
∎ Prepare construction work plan according to the project ending timeline with the management
∎ Daily basis construction work supervision, monitoring and give suggestions to the worker after consulting WASH program and Control materials quality with the entire work quality
∎ Design of WASH hardware and prepare of site list according community participation
∎ Liaisons & Coordination with different stakeholder like Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), community representatives, local government, monitoring CMT member, WATSAN Committee, local community leaders, local government representatives, microfinance institutions, municipal maintenance teams (CMT) etc.
∎ Conduct Group discussion to community level to identify need of appropriate WASH Hardware and include inclusion.
∎ Assist to make Purchase requirement to the management to ensure availability of service.
∎ Participate in workshops and trainings in the field of WASH and different statehooder’s meeting
∎ Prepare the project activities report in time
∎ ROLE PURPOSE
∎ Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager the Project Engineer - WASH will be responsible and accountable for the implementation of WASH activities in the designated area of duty in Satkhira district. The candidate will be places in Satkhira Sador and will have extensive travel to the project site for accomplishing his/her responsibilities. The Project Engineer - WASH will work with the Project staff to implement and monitor WASH activities, Hygiene promotion activities, primarily sanitation hardware as part of an appropriate WASH response that meets the needs of the affected population in line with the Population Movement EPoA and adapting interventions as the situation evolves.
∎ The Project Engineer - WASH is expected to ensure that WASH activities including Hygiene promotion activities are planned and carried out in accordance with Anando WASH plan and budget for the response is coordinated with respective cluster and other agencies supporting WASH activities and responds to local needs and context. The Project Engineer - WASH will support continual assessment and monitoring and work closely with other technical areas to ensure coordinated approaches.
