∎ Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Engineer for the "Increased Resilience for Women through the Provision of WASH Services" Project.
∎ Job Title: Project Engineer
∎ Reports to: Project Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
∎ A Project Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks (Including but not limited to):
∎ Conduct community-level group discussions to share WASH knowledge and assist in designing and preparing site lists with community participation.
∎ Assist in developing construction work plans that adhere to project timelines and management guidelines.
∎ Supervise daily construction work, monitor progress, and provide suggestions to workers in consultation with responsible personnel while ensuring quality control of materials and overall work.
∎ Prepare weekly construction monitoring reports and assist in their compilation.
∎ Communicate daily with workers and vendors based on field findings.
∎ Monitor and supervise daily distribution activities.
∎ Assist in making purchase requirements to ensure service availability and maintain various registers daily to produce monthly quantitative reports of activity.
∎ Guide and support community mobilizers for smooth project functioning.
∎ Recommend new methods and approaches to improve activity quality.
∎ Participate in workshops and training sessions in WASH and related fields to expand knowledge and share it with colleagues and beneficiaries.
∎ Any other assignments of organizational management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ 03 years of working experience in WASH-related programs and among them at least 02 years of experience in a similar position
∎ Proficient in computer literacy, reporting, and related documentation.
∎ Fluent in spoken and written English.
∎ Knowledge of WASH and public health and practical application in a humanitarian context.
∎ Willingness to travel to remote areas and be based in the field.
∎ Fluent communication in the local language and with the community is preferred.
∎ Willingness to drive a motorcycle with a valid license.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual- Fixed Term Contract (9 Months)
