Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma/B.Sc. in Civil Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognised University/Institutions.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Design and implement water, sanitation and hygiene facilities including low cast housing, drainage and pathways in slums where flood and water logging is a challenge.
∎ Ensure quality materials, supervise construction work and ensure quality compliance of all infrastructure related works of the project.
∎ Facilitate engagement of contracting groups/vendors to do the infrastructure related construction and repairing works which may include climate resilient tube-wells, community and household toilets, handwashing facilities, drainage etc.
∎ Coordinate with Sirajganj Municipality and government line agencies for necessary clearance, water quality test and other technical guidance.
∎ Work more independently with required supervision and guidance from the project manager and in coordination with other team members including the Accounts Officer.
∎ Mobilize support of municipality’s engineering department, ward counsellor and CBO leaders to deliver all hardware activities as per project plan.
∎ Provide monthly and quarterly progress data/report on hardware activities to project manager for onward reporting to SKS senior management and donor.
∎ Build rapport with and make sure that municipality and local government institutions are responding to project needs and for relevant technical cooperation including operation and maintenance (O&M) of WASH facilities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Knowledge on water, sanitation and hygiene, low-cost infrastructure work, climate resilient technology, sustainability with good O&M system is highly desirable.
∎ Basic knowledge on computer common software in Microsoft, AutoCAD and drafting is essential.
∎ Good communication skills and experience to work with local government specially municipality is desirable.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 40818 (Monthly)
∎ Salary Consolidated including festival bonus. Others benefits will be as per Organization policy and budget provision.
