Experience:

• Masters in Public Health, Environmental Science, Social Science, Development Studies or in relevant discipline.

• At least 5 years

• Women candidates are highly encouraged
• Proven experience in program planning, implementation, budgeting, financial management, staff management, and report writing.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English
• Knowledge on climate change adaptation, community resilience building
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer skills
• Experience in working with government departments.

Job Context:

Uttaran is an NGO working in Bangladesh since 1985 to uphold rights and entitlements and to improve the socio-economic condition of the poor and disadvantaged community people. Uttaran is a people-centered organization using a rights-based approach to alleviate poverty, diversify livelihood opportunities and empower poor communities of Bangladesh.

Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Coordinator for the Building Resilient Futures: Comprehensive Climate Adaptation for Climate Migrants and Vulnerable Populations.

Reports To: Programme Manager

Duration: Up to November’ 2026

Key Responsibilities:

Field Supervision and Activity Management

• Coordinate and oversee day-to-day field-level implementation of project activities in assigned areas.
• Supervise and support project officers and field staff.
• Provide necessary support to the project team for effective implementation of interventions. 
• Identify field-level challenges, risks, and lessons learned, and propose practical solutions.

Planning and Execution

• Facilitate the development and execution of the project implementation plan in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
• Identify field-level challenges, risks, and lessons learned, and propose practical solutions.

Advocacy, Coordination, and Collaboration

• Follow up on advocacy, coordination, networking, and collaboration with union, Upazila, and national-level line departments.
• Liaise with community leaders, local government institutions, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth project operations.

Capacity Building and Support

• Build staff capacity by facilitating training sessions and internalizing conceptual and methodological processes.
• Assist in organizing trainings, meetings, and community events at field level.

Logistics and Compliance

• Ensure timely logistical support and adherence to the organization's financial and HR policies.
• Prepare and review budgets in alignment with the work plan and ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation

• Develop and share monthly, quarterly, and annual operational plans and reports as per donor requirements.
• Monitor field progress against work plans and targets, and report regularly to the Project Coordinator.
• Ensure compliance with project guidelines, donor requirements, and safeguarding principles.

Other Responsibilities

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Manager to ensure effective project implementation.

Salary: 50,000/- BDT (Including all) Compensation & other benefits: As per Uttaran`s Policy and Project Design.
