Experience:
Master’s in Disaster Management, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Geography / Geology or other relevant subject

Experience in leading field teams and managing participatory data systems.
Experience in climate resilience, disaster management, water governance, or natural resource management preferred.

• Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Project Coordinator for the "The Protocols and Trigger‑based Institutional Systems for Timely Humanitarian & Anticipatory Action (PROTISTHAA)" Project
• Reports to: Director of Uttaran
Key Responsibilities:
As a Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of project activities within project area. You will ensure effective coordination among stakeholders and maintain compliance with donor and organizational requirements. Key responsibilities include:
Field Supervision and Activity Management and Implementation
• Oversee and manage field activities across multiple locations.
• Supervise field-level staff to ensure adherence to the project work plan and budgets.
• Provide necessary support to the project team for effective implementation of interventions.
• Lead the development and execution of project implementation plans in collaboration with the team and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed activity schedules, procurement plans, and implementation roadmaps.
• Ensure integration of risk-informed planning, seasonal forecasting, and early warning information into project activities.
• Coordinate and organize capacity-building events, simulations, and workshops for stakeholders at community and institutional levels.
Advocacy, Coordination, and Collaboration
• Follow up on advocacy, coordination, networking, and collaboration with union, Upazila, District, Division and national-level line departments.
• Maintain strong coordination with District Administration, DRRO, PIO, Upazila Administration, Disaster Management Committees, and relevant government departments.
• Facilitate multi-stakeholder engagement to strengthen coordination among government, private sector, and community actors.
• Support advocacy initiatives to integrate anticipatory action and early response mechanisms into local development and disaster management planning.
• Represent the project in district and upazila-level coordination meetings, clusters, and technical working groups.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Management
• Coordinate with consortium partners such as CARE Bangladesh, ACF, and other stakeholders to ensure programmatic alignment and synergy.
• Engage NGOs, CSOs, community leaders, and private sector actors in project implementation.
• Organize coordination meetings, joint workshops, and shared field monitoring visits.
Gender and Social Inclusion
• Promote gender-responsive and inclusive behavior in all actions and decisions.
• Ensure non-discrimination based on gender, age, ethnicity, disability, or other factors, and uphold sensitivity to diversity and inclusion.
• Ensure accountability to affected populations through community feedback and participation mechanisms.
• Support effective implementation of Feedback, Complaints, and Response Mechanisms (FCRM)
Capacity Building and Support
• Build staff capacity by facilitating training sessions and internalizing conceptual and methodological processes.
• Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and guidance to project members for successful implementation.
Policy and Resilience Building
• Ensure improved risk knowledge and practices in key livelihood sectors in target communities.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Upazila-level plans, policies, and land-use regulations supporting climate resilience.
Logistics and Compliance
• Ensure timely logistical support and adherence to the organization's financial and HR policies.
• Prepare and review budgets in alignment with the work plan and ensure compliance with donor and organizational guidelines.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Documentation
• Develop and share monthly, quarterly, interim and final operational plans and reports as per donor requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of high-quality, timely reports for submission to stakeholders.
• Maintain proper project documentation, records, and evidence for audit and reporting purposes.
• Support proposal development and narrative/reporting requirements for CARE, ACF, and other consortium partners.
Other Responsibilities
• Monitor budget utilization to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
• Coordinate with finance and administration teams on procurement, logistics, and compliance.
• Ensure financial transparency, accountability, and audit readiness.
• Facilitate and support various committees as needed.
• Engage in other project-related activities as required.
• Proven experience in project coordination and field activity management.
• Strong skills in planning, organizing, and facilitating workshops and training sessions.
• Commitment to gender equality, inclusion, and non-discrimination.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in budget preparation, monitoring, and adherence to financial guidelines.
