Job Context:
∎ Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) is a grants making organization for human rights and governance initiatives invites applications from Bangladeshi nationals for the position of Project Coordinator for Partnership for Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Region project. The position will be based at Rangamati, Chottogram.
∎ Project Brief:
∎ Since January 2023, MJF has been running a four-year project titled "Partnership for Resilient Livelihoods in CHT Region" to contribute to poverty reduction and resilient livelihoods of extremely poor households in the three Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) districts of Bangladesh. This initiative is supported by EU and will benefit 20,000 households, and nearly 98,000 people in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Project Coordinator is the key person of the project and will work under the guidance of the Director-Program of MJF. S/he will devote 100% of the project. Reporting to Director of Programs, the post-holder will put in place and ensure the maintenance of programme management systems that ensure programme and reporting quality, financial management and personnel management and timely delivery of programme components according to the milestones agreed with the donor; provide close follow-up and support to the program staff in three Chittagong Hill Districts to implement the projects objectives and targets, technical and managerial needs; ensure strong oversight, follow-up, identification of training needs and project implementation preparation, implementation, monitoring and reporting to MJF/donor standards are among the key responsibilities.

∎ Overall coordination between MJF and all relevant stakeholders at the local level, including management committees and govt. Ministries and departments, networks, UNDP, PIC (Project Implementation Committee). Maintain contacts with cross-sections at MJF, with extensive field visit at village level/household level etc. at Partners working areas. S \he will be responsible for developing a relevant local context level strategy on livelihoods and resilience; and implement it along with relevant partners. In response to the inequalities faced by conflict-affected and poverty-stricken women and girls living in identified 26 Unions, to support the development of inclusive decision-making structures, engagement of men and boys to combat violence against women and girls, and economic empowerment of women.
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ The PRLC project coordinator will be directly responsible for implementing day-to-day project activities in the field by providing guidance and advice. He/she will be responsible for ensuring the profile registration of targeted beneficiaries, monitoring the capacity building efforts provided /conducting training for the different target groups of the project. He or she will support the local partners in implementing the activities in the field.

Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of progressively responsible experience in a similar role - specifically in managing Partnership in the Chittagong Hill Tracts area, very strong experience in resilience and livelihoods programming at both strategic and operational levels
∎ Demonstrated experience in integrating gender and diversity issues into programmes
∎ Evidence of project cycle management experience, including strategic planning, budgeting, reporting, monitoring & evaluation
∎ Ability to work with local authorities and rural ethnic communities including traditional and political leadership
∎ Ability to communicate ideas in a culturally sensitive manner and conducive to their practical application especially in CHT context with an ability to adapt and work within a multicultural, multilingual and multidisciplinary environment
∎ Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a highly motivated team
∎ Strong interest in Gender and Women's Economic Empowerment programs
∎ Strong skills in networking, representation and building relations with diverse stakeholders
∎ Experience in building the capacity of the team internally and of external stakeholders
∎ Ability to assess livelihood assets and their vulnerability to present and future climate impacts
∎ Experience in the design and implementation of different livelihood measures at community level
∎ Familiarity with, and up-to-date knowledge on, various international efforts in livelihood diversification to deal with different environmental and climatic stresses including variability
∎ Both native /local dialects in the CHT context and excellent written in Bangla English skills
∎ Working knowledge and experience of in CHT context is desired.
∎ Knowledge and skill in IT with active presence in social Medias.
∎ Competencies:
∎ A team-player and self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision, with sound judgment
∎ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as a team member, in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
∎ Good communication and interpersonal skills and experience in working effectively in a multicultural environment
∎ Flexibility to make ad-hoc changes as and when the need arises; ability to perform under stress; willingness to keep flexible working hours
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills, reporting with ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively, both orally and in writing.
∎ Demonstrates integrity by modelling the MJF's core principles, values and ethical standards
∎ Displays cultural, gender, religion, caste/class nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
