Job Context:
∎ This position has overall responsibility for the coordination, technical support, and management of all project activities and staff of design action to contribute to improving access to safe water through conduct feasibility research & innovation.
∎ "Project Coordinator" will be appointed and assigned in the Cluster Office at Sylhet to supervise the implementation and do coordination in Dhaka for conducting the research, networking, advocacy, etc. He/She will keep in close communication with the Manager of Development Program Unit 2 (South Asia and Latin America), World Vision Japan (WVJ) for supervision of the whole project.
∎ He/she must have good interest and knowledge on water issues in Bangladesh enough to be able to discuss and understand the research contents and design and install water options.
∎ In addition, he/she will mobilize government agencies (DPHE, etc), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research Bangladesh (icddr.b), UNICEF, and other NGOs at both national and local level.
∎ He/she will plan to carry out the project in cooperation with various partners and also obtaining advice and guidance from Japanese experts who are familiar with the local water and sanitation situation through World Vision Bangladesh (WVB) and the Manager of Development Program Unit-02, WVJ.
∎ Through the following three points, he/she will ensure the sustainability of the project outcomes and lead to continuous development.
∎ 1) For the local community to be able to manage and maintain, build management system by local community people: establishing water supply facility management committee and building capacity, 2) build capacity of water and sanitation management committee organized by local government (Ward, Union, Upazila).
∎ 2) He/she will provide trainings to local mechanics and manufacturers on the construction and repair of water supply facilities, and equip them with the skills to make necessary repairs and maintenance locally.
∎ 3) Build partnership and sharing lesson learned with relevant stakeholders, continuous advocacy to government officials, this project will contribute to the sector and similar projects in Bangladesh in the future.
∎ He/she will also maintain all external stakeholder engagement related to the project, including Government liaison, Policy compliance, financial management, performance management, staff well-being, budget control, project performance monitoring, knowledge management, reporting, and evaluations.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate closely with the vendor (research institute) for research on water quality and source.
∎ Provide the overall technical and administrative management support for the project and maintain accountability to the WVJ coordinator and to WV in the field, including ensuring all reporting is delivered on time and is of high quality.
∎ Keep close networking with Deputy Technical Manager, Zone -02, and National Engineer for ensuring technical concurrence of implementation
∎ Maintain area integration and beneficiary’s integration with Gowainghat and Sylhet APs
∎ Provide leadership in the startup, implementation, and Phase-out of the project achieving goal and outcomes of the project mobilizing staff, facilitators, and other resources; while ensuring that the donor and WVB reporting requirements.
∎ Work with the WVJ coordinator and the vendor.
∎ Build staff capacities in the area of monitoring, documentation, innovation, and support of project implementation.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned by Sylhet Cluster Manager and WVB
∎ Build up a good working relationship with Program officers & finance officer of two AP for ensuring support for the implementation of support.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years working experiences on the WASH program with the conduction of research and project design
∎ Clear Understanding of research report and design research for water access with water quality and different technology
∎ Proven excellent leadership capacity in managing the similar type of staff and stakeholders
∎ Technically sound on water and sanitation, hygiene promotion approaches, community mobilization, working with stakeholders.
∎ Technically sound and hands-on experience on water projects & technology.
∎ Ability to manage /ensure quality of construction work from assigned contractors
∎ Knowledge on current development and emergence issues especially in the water and sanitation field
∎ Good conceptual and practical skills to write project concept papers and design documents of the project.
∎ Good knowledge and skills in forecasting and budgeting
∎ The baseline survey, Evaluation, and Monitoring process and tools.
∎ Good facilitation skills of Training, Seminar, and Advocacy programs.
∎ Good communication and networking skill
∎ Good command in English & Bengali, both written and verbal
∎ Decision making and conflict resolution skills
∎ Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint presentation
∎ Ability to work under stressful condition and adaptive to local culture and situation

Salary: Tk. 75000 - 80000 (Monthly)
