Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Public Health, particularly in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
∎ At least 3 years of experience in social marketing of health, family planning, and hygiene products in rural and urban contexts
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure uninterrupted access to contraceptives and essential SRHR commodities in target areas
∎ Promote improved health-seeking behavior among Married Women of Reproductive Age (MWRA), adolescents, and newlyweds
∎ Drive demand generation through innovative BCC and digital platforms
∎ Develop community-based micro-retail channels for long-term sustainability
∎ Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of all project activities in Dhaka, Gazipur, and Kushtia
∎ Oversee timely procurement and distribution of health commodities and materials
∎ Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and field-level support to project staff
∎ Organize team meetings and capacity-building workshops for field teams and partners
∎ Coordinate with local government authorities, community leaders, and NGOs
∎ Foster and maintain strong relationships with community-based referral
∎ Conduct regular field visits to monitor activities and collect community feedback
∎ Track performance indicators on service delivery, product uptake, and outreach efforts
∎ Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and final project reports
∎ Support documentation of success stories, case studies, and key learnings
∎ Enhance project visibility through participation in local forums, social media, and other outreach activities
∎ Population Services and Training Center (PSTC) is a non-governmental, non-profit voluntary organization registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB) and the Department of Social Services (DSS) of the Government of Bangladesh. PSTC is also an Associate Member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). With over 47 years of dedicated service, PSTC envisions improving the quality of life for disadvantaged populations across Bangladesh.
∎ Project Overview: The Health Outreach and Protection Effort (HOPE) project will be implemented from 1 May 2025 to 30 April 2026 across three districts—Dhaka, Gazipur, and Kushtia. The project aims to deliver essential health services focusing on family planning, adolescent health, child nutrition, and hygiene promotion through a community marketing approach. Emphasizing innovative and cost-effective strategies, HOPE targets urban slum dwellers, industrial workers, and low-income rural populations. The project will ensure availability of essential SRHR commodities and services through a community-based social marketing model.
