• Over 3/4 years of experience managing network and System infrastructure operations.

• Minimum 03 years of experience in relevant field

• Minimum 3 Years of experience in Telecom Power/Data Center Facility/related industry.

• Have knowledge on Power generation, Transmission & Distribution.

• Have customer interface experience & Customer service skills.

• Must be able to effectively understand and communicate technical instructions, business climate conditions, quality reports, and activity reports.

• Be able to generate various engineering documentation and have knowledge of engineering documentation systems.

Job Context:

Project Assistant Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all data center systems, including electrical power, cooling, fire safety, and passive infrastructure. The engineer ensures maximum uptime, safety, redundancy, and energy efficiency, supporting mission-critical IT services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain UPS systems (modular and conventional), battery banks, generators, switchgear, PDUs, and MPDUs.

• Plan and execute load balancing, redundancy management (N, N+1, 2N), and energy efficiency improvements.

• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of electrical systems.

• Load management across PDUs/MPDUs, redundancy planning and avoiding overloads.

• Switchgear and power distribution installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Maintain Electrical safety compliance: grounding, earthing, fault protection, and regulatory adherence.

• Monitoring electrical efficiency, energy consumption, and PUE.

• Ensure proper grounding, earthing, and adherence to electrical safety standards.

• Maintain detailed records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.

• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades to support growing IT requirements.

• Maintain CRAC/CRAH units, PAC systems, chillers, and HVAC systems.

• Implement airflow management, including hot/cold aisle containment, blanking panels, and raised floor optimization.

• Monitor temperature, humidity, and airflow to meet ASHRAE/TIA recommended standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve cooling system alarms and failures to prevent downtime.

• Operate and maintain fire detection and alarm systems, including: Smoke detectors, Heat detectors, Fire alarm/control panels.

• Maintain gas-based fire suppression systems

• Perform gas load checking, pressure monitoring, and system testing.

• Conduct fire drills, emergency response procedures, and regulatory compliance audits.

• Manage server racks, cabinets, ODFs, patch panels, structured cabling (fiber & copper).

• Ensure load distribution, labeling, documentation, and scalability for future expansion.

• Use BMS/DCIM systems for continuous monitoring of power, cooling, fire, and passive infrastructure.

• Track PUE, uptime, and energy efficiency metrics.

• Coordinate with vendors and client for preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Ensure product safety, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

• Strong problem-solving, vendor coordination, documentation, safety awareness, and communication skills.

• Attention to detail in monitoring, reporting, and safety compliance.
