Job Context:
∎ Invitation to interviews: 8th of September 2020
∎ Interviews: 15th of September 2020 (1st round interview) and 22nd of September (2nd round interviews)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide advice to enhance the project management, including capacity building of partners on various issues;
∎ Organize and participate in monitoring and follow-up visits, identifying constraints to implementation, making appropriate recommendations, and ensuring timely follow-up of the recommendations;
∎ In consultation with CD, liaise with partners' and other stakeholders to resolve bottleneck issues;
∎ Undertake activities related to (a) facilitating the project activities in right track, (b) facilitating timely implementation including projects start-ups;
∎ Review projects' (i) work plans, targets, log frames and budgets and (ii) progress and financial Reports;
∎ Ensure horizontal collaboration and knowledge sharing among PA-funded projects through meetings and workshops on different sectors and implementation issues;
∎ Document innovations, best practices and lessons learnt ; preparing reports or briefs on projects' innovations, best practices and lessons learnt, and documenting projects' key achievements and impacts emanating from the experience of PA projects;
∎ Facilitate PA's workshops/training to enable interactions among PA partners' for discussions on best practices and challenging issues;
∎ Share information, knowledge and expertise in PA Bangladesh with the partners' and colleagues;
∎ Manage PA's capacity building for high performance delivery through coaching and mentoring of partners' project personnel;
∎ In close collaboration with the CD, s/he will arrange for providing technical assistance to the CD on formulation of new policies/guidelines/standards on various issues and/or recommend modifications in existing policies/guidelines/standards;
∎ Ensure cordial relationships/networking with relevant government bodies and other stakeholders including academics and technical/specialised institutions to facilitate dialogues on different development issues or building their capacities and identify issue based alliances, partners and networks to invest in;
∎ Visit project areas when necessary for rolling out the PA standards in different interventions, performance assessment of partners', observing roll out status of different standards and suggest onward actions;
∎ Represent Penny Appeal in different networks, alliances, workshops and meetings as assigned;
∎ Liaise on a regular basis with PA HQ and prepare occasional reports and specific information and documents as per requirement and request;
∎ Prepare weekly, monthly and other reports as well as case studies based on PA UK and PA Bangladesh's needs, including lessons from the implementation support experience;
∎ Manage routine activities, such as communications, work planning, ToR/RFPs preparations, outreach activities, event organisation etc.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Country Director-Bangladesh.
∎ Prepare feedback reports for UK headquarters within appropriate timeframe.
∎ Attend internal and external meetings as and when required.
∎ This position requires regular attendance at least 5 days per week.
∎ Must be available to work outside normal office hours or at the weekends as required.
∎ The role is mainly office-based in Dhaka, however the candidate must be able to travel (both in and out country) as required (minimum 20% to 30%).
∎ Whilst performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 4+ years of relevant experience in partners' projects management, reporting, capacity building, monitoring and financial administration in national and international organizations.

∎ Skills to use different technological resources (computer, multimedia projector, internet, email, computer aided systems, widely used software etc).
∎ Experience in safeguarding.
∎ Experience in organising workshops and training sessions.
