Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Nari Sramik Kendra (BNSK) is a development organization, dedicated to promote and protect rights of the migrant workers especially for women migrant workers through (i) Mass awareness campaigns for safe orderly and regular migration; (ii) Capacity building for potential migrants and socioeconomic reintegration of returnee migrants; and (iii) advocacy to promote and protect rights of the migrants and victims of trafficking.
∎ BNSK has been implementing a project titled Eliminating Migrations Induced Problems for Women Migrants with PROKAS, British Council to create an impact in service delivery in migration sector of Bangladesh. It plans to see the Overall impact in women migration is -Reduced incidence of Modern Slavery of women migrant workers of Bangladesh through economic, social, and legal empowerment.
∎ BNSK is looking for a competent and self-motivated individual for the following position:
∎ The position is based in BNSK head office in Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare design and layout plan details to organize meeting with women migrants and male migrants regarding face in all stages of migration and gender based violence issues
∎ Prepare design and layout plan details to organize awareness session for reducing Gender based violence with domestic workers and their families at slums dwellers.
∎ Formulate design and layout plan details for reducing GBV through networking, movement building, campaign, lobbying with others association, trade Unions, women groups and alliances and relevant organization-Rally, human chain, discussion meeting, spot visit as and where applicable
∎ Support Service Analysis and Advocacy meeting to increase Support services in COO and COD
∎ Networking of women parliamentarians to protect rights of women migrants in country of origin and destination
∎ Advocacy Meeting of Women MPs with Parliamentary Standing Committee of MoEWE and MoWCA for raising voice to enhance women migrant workers' rights establishment
∎ Conduct Advocacy meeting with stakeholders for strengthening voice against GBV
∎ Evidence based Policy advocacy at national and regional level through migrant's case management support in Bangladesh and country of destination.
∎ Networking of CSOs, Law makers, Embassies of Lebanon and Jordan to protect rights of women migrants in country of destination
∎ Meeting with GAATW, MFA and others concerns to find out challenges, best practices of other sending countries.
∎ Lobbying with embassies for increasing women worker support services in Jordan, Bahrain and KSA in connection with MFA, GAATW,MoEWOE and MOFA international Provide support services for migrants workers staying at
∎ Media Advocacy with national level print and electronic media for laws and policies reform for quality development in women migration of Bangladesh
∎ Monitoring and analyzing project performance through a range of measures, internal and external and communicating this back to the project with appropriate recommendations.
∎ Support program and project implementation areas of BNSK with monitoring project outputs from field level to national level.
∎ Assist Program Manager/Sr.Programme Officer to monitor project activities and project expenditures related with the project.
∎ Capacity building of community people to become self-advocate for their issues
∎ Ensuring achieving project target through developing project monitoring database
∎ Assist in issuing timely, accurate, and complete program monitoring reports for project executives and management.
∎ Proactive, hands-on manager who will own, in partnership with the program manager, responsibility for the Program monitoring, research and advocacy of BNSK and its partners.
∎ Strategic thinker who possesses solid research acumen and is able to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
∎ Exceptional verbal and written communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with donors, partners and others, both internally and externally.
∎ Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
∎ Proven ability to make monitoring checklist, research interventions and knowledge management for complex and time-sensitive decision-making support for BNSK and its beneficiaries.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 03 years of professional experience in the field of Migration, Advocacy, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation
∎ Extensive knowledge in experimental program planning, implementation, reporting and monitoring
∎ High level of proficiency in Windows Excel and/ or Statistical Software (SPSS, STATA)
∎ Advanced skills in data analysis presentation and report writing
∎ Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive, energetic approach to problem solving
∎ Proficiency with knowledge development, knowledge management, online reporting software management, Report writing, Editing and excellent Excel skills.
∎ Efficient to stress management, conflict management, staff management including CBO organization and management.
