Responsibilities:

  • Support the planning, organization, design, and implementation of health programmes.

  • Lead and follow up on patient generation and community engagement initiatives.

  • Ensure effective coordination with programme teams and stakeholders.

  • Provide clinical services when required and support quality healthcare delivery.

  • Supervise logistics and supply management for programme activities.

  • Maintain liaison with relevant stakeholders and partners.

  • Conduct training sessions for staff on clinical management and service delivery.

  • Strengthen community networking and engagement.

Activities:

  • Provide technical support to the Floating Hospital Management Team in planning, designing, and implementing health programmes.

  • Participate in developing action plans and operational strategies for secondary health camps, outreach services, and satellite clinics.

  • Prepare estimated budgets for secondary health camps and review medicine and supply requisitions to ensure rational and efficient resource utilization.

  • Monitor and supervise the activities of Project Managers and Health Supervisors across floating hospitals to ensure accountability, quality service delivery, and timely completion of tasks.

  • Maintain coordination between ship hospitals, outreach services, and satellite clinics, including oversight of mHealth, Satellite Care, and eHospital operations.

  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration with local stakeholders at anchoring locations to support demand generation, patient flow management, and smooth service delivery.

  • Liaise with government administrative and health authorities at Upazila, Union, and Ward levels, as well as with NGOs and other relevant partners.

  • Ensure timely collection, consolidation, and submission of programme reports from all floating hospitals.

  • Prepare monthly work plans and progress reports covering both hospital and outreach activities.

  • Provide backup clinical support to Medical Officers when required across ship hospitals or intervention areas.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by Friendship Management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment of community-based health service networks through FCM initiatives.

  • Take initiatives to improve the quality of outreach services, including satellite clinics, household visits, and courtyard sessions.

  • Conduct training on clinical management and quality service delivery in floating hospitals.

  • Demonstrate sensitivity and respect for diversity, including culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age.

Skills and competencies:

Educational Qualification:

  • MBBS from a recognized Medical College with valid BM&DC registration.

  • MPH or equivalent postgraduate qualification in public health preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in public health programmes or NGO health services.

  • Experience in community health, outreach services, or community clinic management will be an advantage.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building ability.

  • Strong communication and report-writing skills in English.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and email communication.

  • Strong motivation and willingness to work in remote and riverine settings.
