Job Context:

∎ Employee group (Full time/Part-time/Limited/Casual): Full Time
∎ Schedule (hours/days): 37.5 hours in a week starting from Sunday through Thursday
∎ As a member of the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) Program Team, the Program Officer (Production) is mainly responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day operations of the program, monitoring progress towards program deliverables and working with the SBCC Technical Advisor of the Ujjiban SBCC activity.

∎ The successful candidate must be highly organized and enjoy working within an environment that is mission-driven, fast-paced, results-oriented and global in nature. The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, management skills, the ability to be productive and resourceful. Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla are mandatory. This position reports to the DCOP and SBCC Advisor

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Network and liaison and maintain regular relationships with TV, radio stations
∎ Establish and maintain relationships with corporates, private organizations
∎ Coordinate and arrange meetings with IEC Technical Committee; Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization/National TB Control Programmes; Adolescent Health network, etc.
∎ Engage celebrities for outreach work
∎ Assist outreach team to translate transmedia media outputs into outreach toolkits
∎ Work with the production team and support the planning, coordination and production of different transmedia and communication outputs
∎ Coordinate and manage the day-to-day production activities of the program, ensuring all aspects are completed timely and within the budget and to the required quality
∎ Act as a point of contact between internal teams
∎ Identify risks and issues that threaten the successful delivery of the program and work with the SBCC Technical Advisor and other staff to mitigate those
∎ Collaborate with the Producer/Director to ensure all objectives are reflected in TV, online and other content
∎ Assist in preparation of production budget and ensure budgetary controls
∎ Other duties as requested by the reporting manager

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in media and communication for development
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
∎ Working knowledge of production management
∎ Proactive approach to problem solving with decision making capacity
∎ Have a practical (realistic) and an optimistic approach with a desire to be a key member of the team in providing inputs
∎ Ability to work independently and with a team, determine priorities and manage a variety of activities in consultation with reporting manager
∎ Have the ability to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines
∎ Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Bangla
∎ Be an excellent communicator, with analytical and management skills
∎ Desired qualifications and attributes:
∎ Bachelor's degree with at least 3-5 years relevant work experience in media and communication for development. Degree in development studies/international relations/social sciences would be an added advantage
∎ Bangladeshi citizen.
∎ Competent in Microsoft Office. Other software skills preferred.
∎ Language Skills: Excellent written and oral skills in Bangla and English.
