Job Context:
∎ The Program Officer, Prevention and Communications is responsible for assisting the FSTIP Prevention Manager in leading the prevention portfolio, particularly around planning, implementation, and reporting of prevention activities. He/she will ensure implementation of prevention technical activities in targeted project districts directly and in collaboration with prevention subgrantees. He/she will also monitor subgrantee implementation, budgets, and achievements against targets; develop program communications and report on prevention successes.
∎ He/she will also work closely with the FSTIP Communications Specialist to publicize the results achieved by FSTIP project, its partner organizations, and volunteer groups (peer leader and ANIRBAN) through designing and publishing high-quality publications and producing video documentaries.
∎ He/she will contribute to program strategies and budget forecasting; assist in the development of consultant Terms of Reference (ToRs) and RFAs for prevention grantees and will lead their selection and award process. He/she will coordinate with stakeholders responsible for preventing TIP and promoting safe migration. He/she will also serve as a trainer on relevant topics as and when necessary.

∎ REPORTS TO: Prevention Manager, FSTIP.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assists Prevention Manager in the development, planning, implementation, and reporting of activities and oversees implementing NGO partners under the prevention component.
∎ Oversees coordination of prevention related activities in the program districts.
∎ Builds and maintains relationships with government counterparts (at national and local levels), NGO implementing partners, private sector representatives, and beneficiaries; identifies collaborating organizations.
∎ Monitors subgrantees' budgets and implementation against targets.
∎ Contributes to program strategy and develops program communications and reporting on achievements of the project.
∎ Develops content and coordinates creative execution to provide a consistent, targeted, and impactful message in coordination with the Communications Specialist.
∎ Prepares complete project briefs, brochures, periodic newsletters, quarterly and annual reports, and supports quality printing.
∎ Implements day-observance plans such as World Day against Trafficking-in-Persons and produces promotional materials and publications before and after the Day including social media posts (Winrock and USAID).
∎ Facilitates training sessions for key stakeholders including recruiting agencies, journalists, and migration sector actors.
∎ Prepares regular written updates for the donor.
∎ Provides expertise to FSTIP management on issues related to social and behavior change communication (SBCC) strategies, community outreach, safe migration, and counter-trafficking committee (CTC) activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of six years' experience in implementing development activities e.g., counter trafficking-in-persons and/or child marriage for international development projects, preferably with USAID.
∎ Experience in developing program communications and reports on project successes.
∎ Experience preferred in designing and publishing high-quality publications, both in Bangla and English and producing high-quality video documentaries.
∎ Experience in facilitating training activities for senior officials.
∎ Demonstrated experience with all types of social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
∎ Fluent in Bangla and English.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft suite of office applications
∎ Strong oral and written communication skills.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams and in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Good knowledge of human trafficking, child marriage, and migration related issues.
∎ Ability to travel frequently to project areas.
∎ Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and to manage multiple competing priorities and activities.
